    Contemporary Catering management led to a contemptuous experience.
    The good thingsThe fellow kitchen staff was a pleasure to work with. They are very helpful, willing to assist and show you the ropes. Head Chef is very accommodating too. She isn’t given enough credit for the work she puts in. The caregivers on-site work hand in hand with kitchen attendants to serve the residents, who are all so lovely.
    The challengesThe main reason behind the one star rating: horrible and negligent management (operations). The amount of micromanagement one experiences here is beyond stressful. They hardly give any recognition to the nuances and flows that had been established by the kitchen attendants and caregivers (the people who work there daily). Essentially, management enforces a “my way or the highway” dynamic. Yet, inefficient practices would be implemented, wasting the time of both kitchen attendants and caregivers. They hardly listen to their employees, nor give them any consideration or adequate space to grow. Overwork is synonymous with the work life to be expected here. They do not give feedback for improvement, nor give any credit or recognition for hard work - then chuck out employees. The turnover and retention rate is abysmal.

    Fast paced work environment which lack some of the necessary resources such as time, manpower and supplies(sometimes) that you have to compensate.
    The good thingsFree food is the best thing you can get.
    The challengesFast paced and tons of work. Highly demanding sometimes. Broken equipment and low stocks of supplies were not immediately provided leading to delays and complications during a shift. You have to finish everything in your shift which means you either start earlier of finish late, your choice... no overtime provided even if the delays were not your fault.

    My time spent at Contemporary Catering has been incredibly rewarding.
    The good thingsFriendly and welcoming environment with plenty of opportunities to develop skills and further career.
    The challengesI have not encountered any challenges other than those that are normally associated with fast-paced hospitality environments.

    The challengesUpper Management, equipment cant get any have to consently ask for it and then get excuses why we dont have it. Management dont care keep asking for more without giving you extra time or staff to do it in. when you do have a problem you cant get them on the phone or emails Expect you to go shopping when items are out of stock in your own time and using your own money

    Don’t apply if you want to strewed around.
    The good things“Some” of the employees are friendly
    The challengesThe management is disgusting. They don’t care about you or anyone else for that matter. You don’t get told anything about training people, they just rock up! People go home sick all the time and you get lelt on your own and are expected to do everything and train someone!! Honestly, all the stress and hassle is not worth what you get paid hourly.
