All reviews are from HR, not authentic whatsoever. Toxic workplace and upper management
The good thingsAbsolutely nothing, a waste of time and shambles of an organisation
The challengesEveryone is thrown into their role with no or minimal training, making everyone's lives harder. People get promoted once the current team is sick of them and no longer wants to deal with their antics and lack of knowledge. Managers have no intention of fostering growth and positivity within their teams. Upper management wants to protect themselves without any regard to policy or employment standards Allows members to disrespect staff members and continually allows such behaviour. Safety is not paramount no matter how many times staff raise issues. Will promise career development and then when it comes to annual reviews say they need to speak to management about what their own rating system means year on year.

Stay as far away as you can!
The good thingsThere is no good things about working at Credit Union SA, in fact they have scrubbed all the negative reviews from seek that were left previously. Horrible culture - from the executive team and senior leadership.
The challengesabsolutey everything about the role was a challenge, management, senior management, executives no sense of team everyone is happy to throw everyone under the bus.

I have enjoyed working at Credit Union SA, it is a wonderful place to work with lovely people. I was sad to leave and only moved due to the opportunity of another challenging and interesting role for me.
The good thingsThe culture is terrific particularly working with caring and thoughtful co-workers and a management team that really cares. Additional leave days are available to all staff to enjoy a healthy work / life balance and the opportunity to spend 'Thrive' days doing what makes you happy. The learning and development opportunities can be tailored to suit your needs and the way working together as teams can achieve such great results for the entire team is great.
The challengesI am sure the challenges experienced at CUSA are like those at other organisations such as the standard technology issues however the business is working towards addressing the technology and the feedback from their staff to make the improvements where they possibly can do so. Honestly i did not encounter many challenges at all.

    Rewarding & fun experience.
The good thingsOpportunities for career progression & growth- I have been working at CUSA for less than 2 years and during this time I have moved from a Lending Sales Specialist in the lending team to Accounts Payable Officer in the finance team. This was offered first as a secondment and recently made permanent. CUSA also pays 100% of my course fees for a finance related course I wished to study, enabling me to increase my skills and work towards my goal of becoming a Finance Officer. Culture- CUSA has an AMAZING culture! I have worked for numerous financial institutions in the past and CUSA has the best culture yet! The people are what make it great. I love my team and the greater business as a whole. It is a very fun place to work. Work life balance - CUSA offers a hybrid work environment. In my team we can choose different WFH days each week and these are not set, allowing me to be home when required. I usually work 2 days home and 3 in the office. We also get paid leave for our birthday, as well as 4 extra paid days off as "thrive" days. Management - My managers are easy to talk to and do not micromanage. Achievements are acknowledged and celebrated, and great work is recognized and rewarded.
The challengesThe old finance system we used to use. We have since upgraded to an intuitive and easy to use system.

Community focussed organisation with flexible work practices to encourage work/life balance.

An excellent place to work with a supportive culture.
The good thingsA values-based organisation working hard to balance the needs of members against growth objectives. They were extremely supportive with my tertiary studies, where I completed my undergraduate degree which was fully funded by Credit Union SA.
The challengesThe size of the organisation lends itself to having a fairly flat management structure, where career development opportunities can be limited. With this said, the ability to influence and drive activity is excellent, so you can easily create your own opportunities.

Great company to work for with a good social culture.
The good thingsGreat people and a good social culture. Good career progression and good values that aligned to me personally being all about their customers. No dress code. Progressive way of thinking from some of the senior leadership team meaning that they have great products and services .
The challengesSome areas were very bureaucratic and difficult to deal with at times instead of being outcomes focused.
