Uncertain times are ahead due to planned merger with Sportsbet.
The good thingsTechnology stack is awesome. AWS .Net Core and ReactJS. However, no opportunity to work on Mobile technology.
The challengesManagement changes a lot and so does the strategy. No clear directions of work. People management is one of the poorest. Managers doesn’t have experience or skill to do people management. Performance management and KPI are not well defined. HR and departments are not aligned. Attrition is high even in Management.

A company that looks great and feels great to work for initially however bleeds you dry and takes over your life without any empathy.
The good thingsBreakfast Monthly drinks Offices Flexible working arrangements
The challengesWork Life Balance doesn't exist Certain management can be toxic One day you can walk into work thinking you have a job, the next your pass will be cut off and escorted out by security because your role was made redundant.

The good thingsFree breakfast Lots of social activities
The challengesThe largest perpetual turnover of staff I have ever experienced in decades of working in IT. I lasted less than a year and there were numerous people who came after me and left before me. Almost all the good people have left now and it's only new people or the dead wood left. The experience has resulted me in retiring from working in the gambling industry. But hey, you get free breakfast.

    Such a great opportunity!
The good thingsThere is a great atmosphere, with a fun culture. Everyone makes an effort to look after one another. Being in such a fast paced environment, the work is very challenging and interesting, which is great. We get to learn new things everyday.
The challengesBeing such a fast paced environment, you always need to be on the front foot.

I learnt how not to manage/motivate people so at least that's something.
The good thingsGood social aspect and nice colleagues. Free breakfast.
The challengesNo room for career progression or personal development. Never promote internally or reward hard work or strong performers. Management is hierarchical and act as \"bosses\" instead of \"leaders\". Very disheartening place to work.

Was one of the worst companies I've worked for
The good thingsIn the middle of the CBD. Friday drinks.
The challengesThe culture is really bad so much politics and the employees there are Tafe drop-outs mostly. Micromanaging team leaders, they will contact you even after working hours to talk about work or assign a task to you. Staff are burned out from overworking, and long hours of work. No real work life balance.
