I'm still with the company and don't see myself moving on.
The good thingsI have had a great time at CL (now Sedgwick), good experience with management, excellent career advancement and enjoy being part of a powerful brand.
The challengesThis is a tough industry. The challenges are not company specific - but being around good people makes it worthwhile.

Not worth your time - find something else!
The good thingsForming great friendships within your team.
The challengesTerrible work/life balance - Management say they want all employees to be happy and encourage you to go to them with any requests, however expect any requests to be shut down and any reasons to be turned back around onto you in a bad light e.g. wanting flexibility with your hours, the answer is no, but they still expect you to be a happy worker.

Some of the people are the only reason you keep going back.
The good thingsThe people, this is truly the only good thing working at this company
The challengesManagement, lack of support, lack of career development, lack of money to survive on as you are only paid minimum wage (and that is only because they have too pay you minimum wage or else I’m sure it would be less).

Disappointing when considering the possibilities that should have been made available.
The good thingsIndividual teams often formed tight relationships in spite of below average management practices and poor leadership style.
The challengesThe leadership team is a political best due to CEO being involved with one of the line managers. Caused continuous conflict and unwarranted biasness which brought uncertainty to the greater organisation - even after she was let go in an attempt to resolve that issue.

    Positive experience across multiple roles
The good thingsFlexible working hours. Have always been able to structure my day around personal commitments allowing a good work/life balance. The company has supported my role with significant investment in training/development and provided clear career development paths.
The challengesHistorically salaries have not been reflective of the time/hours needed to make certain roles a success. In saying this I have found that the perks/benefits to reasonably compensate. Some things within the business can't be resolved quickly such as IT related problems.

Good place to work - respected by managmement - hard worked recognised and rewarded
The good thingsI have been afforded opportunities to develop and progress my career in the past. I have had the advantage of being exposed to various parts of the business. I understand - as others don't - and have seen that hard work and a willingness to step outside my \"role\" will be rewarded with exposure to new opportunities
The challengesThe variability in workload can be difficult to manage - however, this is the nature of the industry in which we are working where, for the most part, we are at the mercy of the elements

The challengesProcedures change a drop of a hat. Team leaders dont tell you and expect you to know. The team leaders are in a constant battle with one anothet for superiority, so they try to find work mistakes within each others team. Even if its no valid

This organisation does not value their workers for what they do, but treated them as irrelevant people, showing them a lack of respect. If the worker has some insurance experience, then they expect further output from them , without adequately providing

If you work hard and accurately then you are made welcome, great management and always wanting to ensure you are looked after.
The good thingsVaried technical role in a developing team and company. Support from a strong growing company in AU with very good and close client relationships.
The challengesWorkload can fluctuate however that is the nature of the job, simply be good at what you do and people will want to work with you.
