If I could give this place no stars I would.
The good thingsLifetime long friendships as we had to stick together to get through our days.
The challengesManagement and HR. I have never worked for a company that has such blatant favouritism specifically HR. Management are too worried about lining their own pockets then do something about the issues brought to their attention including the issues with their HR Personnel.

    Inclusive, Empowering and Respectul Company.
The good thingsConstantly evolving to keep up with the times. Over my 3 years there, I noticed the implementation of more structured management practices. I enjoy a fast-paced, KPI-driven role, which made this position a great fit for me. Although I worked remotely, the support provided was positively amazing.
The challengesAs I was remote, I did not have the opportunity to progress my career.

Do not do it. Work anywhere but here honestly, you will be treated like a number and given no help, assistance or understanding from management.
The good thingsThey'll talk alot about how close a team they are when in reality they've lost or made redundant anyone good they ever had work for them. So nothing positive.
The challengesThe blatant favouritism, the unrealistic expectations of management and the unethical relationship HR has with particular staff.

Great!! It may get extremely busy but there’s still time for laughter…
The good thingsExcellent team environment. Management are great. Very approachable and receptive to new ideas.
The challengesWorking for an insurance builder you need to expect anything especially during storm season where you can feel overwhelmed. But this is where the best team comes together and helps each other.

    A diverse but rewarding role
The good thingsI have been given a lot of opportunity whilst being employed with Dak-Wal. Management is receptive to new ideas and encourages initiative. The environment, in my office in particular, is a very enjoyable one to work in. All team members get on well and there is a mutual respect from both management and team members. There is a large focus on promoting a positive culture. The work is fast paced and constant, even in quieter months there is always something to do.
The challengesThere are multiple insurers that we undertake work for so there is a lot of information that is needed to be known and that information is constantly changing. During event seasons the workload can become overwhelming but is achievable in the team environment and with supportive management.

My time with Dak-Wal has been extremely rewarding and I look forward to my years to come with this company.
The good thingsThis company has given me a great deal of support, and has been a very inclusive environment. I am encouraged by management and my colleagues to be my best, and I have the support of my leader. I am able to learn new skills and my contribution towards my team is always recognised and appreciated. At the end of the day, I feel I am doing meaningful work in this job and I am grateful to Dak-Wal for the opportunity to do so.
The challengesDealing with customers who are going through a crisis can be overwhelming and does take a mental and emotional toll, but being able to help people during their difficult time gives me pride in my job.

    Supportive and rewarding.
The good thingsThis employer supported me through my own personal mental health struggles and allowed me time off to seek the help that I needed. I haven’t had a previous experience with an employer where I felt comfortable being open with them and that I wasn’t judged. The role itself is rewarding by engaging with customers and insurance companies to provide resolutions and excellent service. There is a lot of problem solving, computer work and administrative tasks which I love to do. The team I work in is supportive, friendly and hard working as are other departments at Dak-wal. Overall this company has been nothing but good to me in my time here. My teams hard work is acknowledged by my team leader and I feel very supported by her.
The challengesDuring the busy season the work load increases, but it’s nothing that we as a team don’t get through. When engaging with vulnerable people who have lost their homes it can be difficult to leave work at the door when I leave each day. However, Being a part of the process to getting people back into their homes is so rewarding.

I strongly recommend working for Dak-Wal Constructions to anyone whom is seeking work within a tight knit/ family orientated company.
The good thingsBoth Management and staff are all very supportive and approachable. Training is provided and up to date. Management are hands on and always willing to lend a hand, no matter how big or small the task may be.
The challengesI enjoy a challenge, therefore have not found anything too difficult. As mentioned above, everyone is willing to help and support each other therefore I have not faced a challenging experience thus far.
