A lot of potential & room for improvement. If you are looking for a job to get a foot in the door, OR specifically in Insolvency - it's great. Anything else...The good thingsThe nature of the job is fantastic. Everyday you are learning something new and in the process helping people and their financial situation. It's a very interesting field and the systems developed are good and user friendly.
Each team is unique and generally there is a good team environment in most of them (between colleagues). Good facilities - parking, coffee machine, TV, ipads, lunch room.
The challengesThere are frequent changes of processes, departments, management which are unnecessary, not tested first or just not very well thought out. It causes uncertainty between staff and mostly is just unprofessional. Office politics and the usual with certain managers who don't actually have very good management or people skills. Some organisational practices are outdated, i.e. no phones, strict dress codes, some policies, lockers that are just not consistent with a modern work place. Pay reviews don't seem to be a regular thing or a priority.
