    Declining Culture, Declining Profits
The good thingsSome great people across departments, product allowance and decent bonuses.
The challengesSenior Management too KPI focused and don't genuinely care about staff, every year you are made to feel like the business and department is behind. Big hours to achieve outcomes and redundancies every 6 months, business not willing to invest/spend money where needed (Although costs more in the long run). Toxic culture from senior leadership that are out to progress their own careers. No other business would tolerate senior leadership behavior shown in this business.

A stressful environment with micromanagement, overwhelming workloads, and little recognition or reward—invest your time somewhere else.
The good thingsA a large FMCG company, it offers great exposure and experience. The brand is well-recognized but not the culture!!
The challengesWhile the company emphasizes values and culture, you're often just a number, especially in smaller roles. Micromanagement, heavy workloads (1 person doing 4-5 jobs), low pay, and unfulfilled promises during performance reviews make it challenging to thrive. Be cautious about expectations.

I felt used and treated like I was a fool by the labour hire agency, don't waste your time with this place.
The good thingsWorked with some really good people.
The challengesHaving a labour hire company that promises everything and delivers nothing. New staff started every day that I worked there. One day I had shifts rostered ahead for the next month, then over the next few days thane gradually disappeared. When I queried this with the labour hire person she was very cagey and lied about the work being cancelled because the plant was not going to be running. Staffer who had been there long term said that Diageo only ever employ staff for a maximum of two years and she was on minimum hours herself.

I still think Diageo is a very good company to work for overall but upper management must dig deeper to improve on employee welfare if they want everyone to deliver results
The good thingsReputable company. Overall company culture is one of the best I've experienced. People on the floor are very passionate and competent workers.
The challengesVery stingy on pay rises; management would rather burn people out, make them leave and hire new ones rather than encourage and promote internally. Not a lot of opportunity for growth if you work in manufacturing. Lots of employees are burnt out and unmotivated. Company compensates for pay in benefits and packages it as "better than other industries" to hide the fact they pay much lower versus industry median for certain roles.

Global company, amazing benefits, strong support network.

The challengesA lot of conflicting priorities, but that's normal in any job!

It is a toxic disorganized culture with no direction or leadership from Exec.
The good thingsThe perks of purchasing discounted products
The challengesFrom the top down the management lack leadership, direction and trust. As a result they've set a very toxic, reactive, siloed culture. It is a business all about internal "relationships". Due to lack of direction and strategy from Exec people drive own agendas, bordering on behaviors not appropriate by individuals to drive own agendas.

After left Diageo, I am very carefully consider a new company's culture to work.
The good thingsHave some training and educate and help professional development. Make you feel that Diageo isn't a place to work, but also school to learn.
The challengesVery toxic environment. People are very demanding. Company cultural allow people behave very unprofessional in the working environment. Some people don't know what they actually want, and they want anything happened yesterday.

Could be amazing, management ruins it consistently
The good thingsThe people are by far the best thing, the production guys are awesome and really take care of you
The challengesManagement from the middle up are indecisive, reactive instead of pro-active and put running production above everything else

Was the best business in the world, until new senior leaders ruined it
The good thingsIt was a great values based culture with the best people. Brilliant exciting brands and great systems
The challengesNew senior leaders have destroyed the values based culture and engagement. It is now a shadow of what it used to be. What a shame...

Constant change internally, poor management with no genuine focus on their people
The good thingsThe brands, the perks, the bar
The challengesToo much internal change, rarely enough time/resources to do job well, poor management culture. If you're not willing to join the club & be indoctrinated then expect to get the flick.

It was a good learning experience, but would rather do what I am doing today, being a creative designer and working for myself.
The good thingsAt the time I was working in the warehouse. I am not sure how much it has changed, probably few staff with more responsibilities these days.
The challengesMeeting the needs of transporting the goods via the freight companies. Meeting expectations of management and customer service. Leadership within the warehouse at that time was a little confusing.. too many chiefs, no clear vision or visions were kept within senior management.

Having the time of my life with amazing people and amazing experiences
The good thingsAbsolutely love my job and the people I work with. For the first time ever I feel like the people I work with are experts at what they do, and everyone is given great opportunities to really own their role and succeed. Loads of perks, and the company knows how to celebrate successes. Onsite bar which is great for winding down at the end of the week.
The challengesTimezones can be fun with it being a global company, and since Australia is in the 'fun' timezone compared to the rest of the world you can have a couple of late night conferences. Not really an issue for me though as you can do them from home and they are so infrequent.

They train you to be the best, but the squeeze everything out of you. No flexibility and it's all about profit. If the business isn't performing, heads get cut. Very corporate. If your thinking of working here first reach out to someone who has worked o
The good thingsGreat brands. Very structure and process driven.
The challengesVery political. Cut-throat. No budgets. Long hours. No stability . Constant redundancies every 6 months. No career progression. No culture. Aggressive.

    Great people focused company
The good thingsGreat culture, there is a real sense the company cares about its people and their aspiration. Diageo are a performance driven company - if you perform you get rewarded. There are international opportunities available for those would excel.
The challengesAs with many FMCG companies, the downside of the fast pace is career development plans can change rapidly.
