Don't fall for the hype or HR reviews
The good thingsYou get to work with some great people.
The challengesWhen the adverts say we are a work family- run! The issues come from the top. Check your workplace agreement to make sure you are being paid right and not gaslit

Working at Endeavour Energy is a truly rewarding experience, where I have grown professionally and am so motivated and supported to drive sustainable outcomes.
The good thingsFrom the moment I joined the team at Endeavour Energy, it was evident that this was a company truly committed to creating a sustainable and just environment not just for employees but also for the community we serve. This commitment to sustainability is across the company's business practices, embedded in corporate strategy and priorities. They have cultivated a culture of respect and inclusivity, collaboration and agility that promote innovative and sustainable solutions for community and customer benefits. Its very rewarding to work there and be supported through benefits package, competitive pay structure and recognition, volunteering and family friendly flexible work programs are also a testament to this. All in all, working at Endeavour Energy is a truly rewarding experience, where I have grown and am so motivated to drive a sustainable future with my colleagues, stakeholders and partners.
The challengesThe company franchise is spread across a large area of greater western Sydney and south coast making it challenging to connect regularly with all parts of the business. However we are supported to travel and collaborate cross functionally that allows for broader awareness.

From my 20+ years' experience in many industries, I have found Endeavour Energy more innovative than financial services, more family-like than the not-for-profits and more socially responsible than many of the government agencies - a real and pleasant surprise.
The good thingsWorking here exceeds expectations; exceptional people, modern office, family-like culture, and openness to innovative ideas. Truly unique for a critical infrastructure company.
The challengesBalancing focus amidst numerous ideas and managing a distributed workforce present some of the unique challenges of working here.

No way I would ever consider working there again. And, if I see names of any of their senior managers at companies I'm considering in future, I won't work there either
The good thingsPay rate was good, and I rarely had to do any overtime
The challengesManagement are too busy throwing their weight around and refusing to be wrong, and working out who to throw under the bus to actually deliver anything meaningful.

Overall good well paying work place which requires improvement in the culture
The good thingsGood work place with plenty of opportunities to grow. Organisation development team has really good programs for leadership training.. Good salary and family friendly work place with in-house child care facilities.
The challengesSilo mentality still exists and lots of improvement requires to improve the culture of the organisation. At times approval process takes long time due to lengthy processes.

Good pay but not a nice place to work.
The good thingsA good work life balance. If you don’t want to do overtime you are not forced. Pay is good.
The challengesDifficult being caught in the middle of the unions and state govt battles. Bitter workforce. Not a fun place to work.

Toxic, political environment with deadwood leadership.
The good thingsEndeavour Energy used to be a place that encouraged a work life balance and the people were generally good people.
The challengesSenior and middle management are jockeying for position to possibly ensure their survival post June 2020, true leadership does not exist.

    Incompetent upper management lowers morale!
The good thingsGood bunch of tradespeople to work with, good pay and the ability to knock back OT if you want too.
The challengesLower level managers are good and most have good intentions but are hindered by incompetent upper management, there is a blue collar vs white collar mentality and win win solutions are NEVER attempted.

Great place to retire while still working!
The good thingsGreat place to retire while still working! People are generally friendly, the work life balance is awesome generally your boxes are ticked by midday and you can leave by 4.30. Unlimited sick leave! Little pressure to deliver anything - most people would sit on resting heart beat for the whole day, unless of course they are at the onsite gym where you can take a Zumba class or the walking track where many a zombie can be spotted throughout the day.
The challengesLots of meetings that achieve nothing. Lots of managers that know nothing. The only training you will get is safety training, a lot of emphasis on not tripping over your shoe laces instead of professional training. Managers add zero value, productivity would increase if they didn't turn up to work. Forget about promotion within, the most skilled and productive are kept where they belong - in a position that exists to promote your manager who will recycle your ideas and innovation for their own self promotion.

Good business to work for but big and slow at getting new things done.
The good thingsDesire to achieve good outcomes and commitment to WHS is evident.
The challengesSlow moving...and some staff who resist change because some staff are of the impression that they have a right to work there, instead of respecting that their job is a privilege.
