Overall good job and good foot in the industry
The good thingsGood team, cruisy job and management are more flexible with leave etc than other companies. Good work/life balance
The challengesPerceived lack of support in the first weeks. Not abnormal in remote mining but tough if you're fresh in the industry. Management are there if you reach out but don't expect to be spoon fed

Wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.
The good thingsThe challenges it brings working with specially challenged human beings.
The challengesManagement will lose most the contracts due to inability to lead.

    Prospective Employees Beware
The good thingsThe rare staff that actually have experience and not been pumped through the ER24 certificate farm.
The challengesMade to work full time as a casual with no benefits, then having it hung over your head to control and coerce you.

If you're desperate, use this company to get your foot in the door and leave.
The good thingsThe people you get to meet on site a really good contacts to get away from this company
The challengesAll the lies from management! and working for a company that has one of if not the worst name in the rescue industry. Doing the same job on site as other contract rescue companies and being paid $20-$25 an hour less

UNDER-APPRECIATED, UNDERPAID, NO TRAINING, MANAGEMENT/OWNERS HAVE NO IDEA
The good thingsMiners on site, free flights and food is free
The challengesTrying to work for a company that is not respected by the mining sector is embarrassing. I had no training the whole year I was there. Main trainer had no on-road experience. Contracts are never reviewed once signed, even for grads. Be very careful. Owners/Management have great communication during onboarding but then after that, NO emails are not replied to. Barely roadworthy cars to do the commute to and from camp, very dangerous.

A great opportunity and starting point for your career with exposure to how the mining industry in QLD works.
The good thingsA very supportive and responsive team who assist with graduate starters and their integration into the mining industry.
The challengesThere is a steep learning curve, but a great way to learn quickly while also having the support of an experienced team.

    Good place to work
The good thingsI enjoy the opportunity to try new things like running health promotion initiatives.
The challengesYou need to be adaptable and flexible and not feel daunted when you’re unexpectedly taken out of your comfort zone. Rather see these situations as an opportunity to grow in your role.

Great team to work for, very friendly and flexible in their approach as a company.
The good thingsGreat exposure to a variety of medical presentations and great support from management.
The challengesWorking remotely as a paramedic will always have challenges but the company provides support via a team of on-call doctors, so you there is always someone to consult with.

Great company to work for - they support ongoing skills development and clinical learnings in paramedicine and it’s a fun work environment to be able to do the rescue as well as the medical centre stuff.
The good thingsGreat work/life balance thanks to working a week on, a week off. Opportunities for overtime. Lots of training provided for CPD maintenance and opportunities to learn new skills. Management are visible and contactable.
The challengesBeing away from home and the travel involved to get to sites. Steep learning curve from normal paramedic work as on road is very different to mining but I enjoy a challenge.
