Look into the company you want to work for.
The good thingsOnly Traffic Control company that will put you on PPT even if not good pay
The challengesWorking for a company that has poor management skills, where the managers give jobs to their friends and then puts them with experienced people, then the experienced people have to work harder to get the work done and then after a while they put their friends in charge of the experienced people. You can't say anything because then they just stop giving you work.

    More bad then good
The good thingsNothing good about this company.
The challengesLowed pay rate without notification. Everything has to go through Brisbane for approval. Promised new equipment and vehicles 4+ years ago and never happened. To much red tape in regards to what you can and can't do even as a AWTM.

The good thingsPlenty of hours, if youre up for it. Fairly well run. Pays good if you get into overtime or weekends
The challengesI just found I didn’t like being on stop/slow bat,or being at a different site everyday, with different people. Maybe thats just me. I didn’t like the rules of the big sites, way too many, too strict.

    Tired on my feet.
The good thingsLots of work when there's work Some good team leaderss
The challengesLots of work when theres work, but expect to have no warning and no work for up to 3 months. Claims to have fatigue management plan, does not follow it. No notice of shifts, Example. Working 11 hour night shift so as you do you sleep the day away expecting to wake up to a text saying your working tonight or no text at all assume your not working. Or Get a text at 5pm (after waking up at 4pm due to night shift) saying you start at 6am.

The good thingsNight shift good money
The challengesGetting to work more then a 20 hour week. If u don't get night shift then the wage is not good in the day shift, for the conditions your in, traffic hot sun, etc.
