Fantastic experiences, great people in A/NZ and proud to have left the organisation in a much better position than I found it after 2.5 years. Also great to see the A/NZ franchise continuing to grow successfully in 2018 / 2019 fiscal year.
The good thingsFantastic culture at the Australian & New Zealand level and really enjoyed growing the business commercially and financially over my 2.5 years in the Executive team
The challengesSignificant cultural differences and expectations by APAC Executive team. When things are going well, great supporters, when business experiences financial challenges, attitudes and behaviours changed dramatically.

High pressure environment with little return
The good thingsExperian has very interesting products that are good to work with. There are great learning opportunities that can expand your career opportunities as you get to know the tools that businesses use to make decisions in great detail. If you are in sales, you will receive a lot of training and support to build your skill level.
The challengesThe business only really invested in sales staff development and incentives, which made it very difficult for non-sales people to develop their skills or progress their career. The business is in a constant state of flux, the instability this created made it very difficult to achieve anything or provide enough time for any strategies to have an impact. There was reluctance from management to invest in product development therefore not much innovation occurs, particularly at a local level.

The good thingsRich learning environment due to opportunities for growth, change and trying new things. The people and culture are the reason I've stayed so long. Made some big investments especially in people and leadership. Got some big ambitions, clear plan it's working to involve people in and exciting place to be
The challengesThe pace of change and expectation may not be for everyone but it is part of what I loved and the variety of things you get the opportunity to learn

Talent Acquisition TeamHi, Thank you for your feedback. We are always seeking ways to ensure our culture of support, engagement and collaboration remains at the core. It is an ongoing focus of ours to keep employees engaged, through strategies including team building days and training sessions. In regards to pay incentives, our rewards are reviewed to ensure they are equitable and reflective of the performance of both the team and individual. We want our employees to be rewarded for the work they do. We appreciate you taking the time to provide this valuable feedback and wish you every success for the future.

Been there, done many, will not go back.
The good thingsIt is a good place for new graduates to learn as much and as widely as they can. There are so many arms and disciplines of business a new graduate can choose and move around later in their career to learn the varieties of work.
The challengesLike most global conglomerates, everything comes down to the bottom line. Career expansion is great at Experian, but a step-up can be very limited. Also ones have to adjust to too many tiers of procedures and processes, and politics in management. Experian adopts a really good performance review process but the outcome relies heavily on each manager. If the manager one reports to takes his/her staff development seriously then it's good otherwise it's counter-productive. Unfortunately it is too hard for HR to enforce this process on each manager to run it effectively.
Talent Acquisition TeamHi, Thank you for providing your feedback. I am pleased to hear that you valued the variety of the business to diversify your skills and knowledge. This is an area which Experian prides itself on by giving opportunities to employees for them to develop their career through continued development and sharing knowledge across the business units. As a global organisation we understand the matrix structure can sometimes seem too procedural. However, Experian continues to review the way we communicate with employees and management across the globe. This includes our new monthly wrap up of the business and always ensuring the lines of communication remain open and consistent. Additionally, we take professional development seriously and our performance measures are in place to provide employees with comprehensive ratings that include 360 degree feedback. This allows us to accurately measure the performance against our Experian standards. Again, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We wish you all the success in your future.

    Variable.
The good thingsInteresting problems to solve. My peers were good to work with.
The challengesIt's a large global corp and has very top heavy management. Nothing happens very fast and they didn't take much interest in our little Australian business unit.
Talent Acquisition TeamHi, Thank you for providing your feedback regarding your time when working with Experian. Experian is a diverse company and we always want our employees to be challenged in what they do, whilst also empowering them to be innovative. It is great to hear you felt challenged and enjoyed the team you worked with. As a global company we work towards a Matrix structure. This means that often you will have more than 1 direct report. We believe this structure offers endless opportunities for ongoing development and collaboration in the team. We are always working towards ways to ensure processes move quickly and this is done through regular team meetings across the globe and constant communication no matter where an employee sits in the globe. We wish you all the success in your future and thank you again for your feedback.

Great company and its products led by short sighted process driven leaders.
The good thingsGreat product to offer clients
    The challengesprocess centric work environment.
Talent Acquisition TeamHi, Thank you for providing feedback about your time working with Experian. Experian prides itself on creating innovative and exciting products to offer our clients and keep up with the latest technologies in the market. It is great to hear that these products excited you. We certainly don't believe in creating process-centric work environments where employees feel they are not contributing creatively to the business. This is why we have incentives such as Hack Days, regular training and brainstorming sessions in teams to come up with new ways to work; and encouraging innovation through regular one-on-one catch-ups with managers. We want employees to bring their ideas to Experian as this is key to our continued growth. Again, thank you for the time you have taken to provide your feedback. We wish you all the success in your future.
