Well rounded experience, especially for new starters!
The good thingsGreat work culture, very supportive management and leadership.
The challengesUtilisation requirements and pressure onto junior staff that play no role in acquire and allocating projects seems unfair. Utilisation is also tied to promotions since it is a major KPI.

Leaders say they are committed to culture, knowingly allow toxic behaviours.
The good thingsWorking on diverse and interesting engagements. EY genuinely helps clients do things more efficiently and effectively.
The challengesThe culture is toxic. Leadership purport to care about culture but what goes on behind closed doors and to individuals is disgusting. It’s a money making machine with no genuine regard for wellbeing.

Their dedication and innovative approach make EY a reliable partner for achieving sustainable growth and success in any conditions. However, our experience with EY was mixed. While their expertise is undeniable, we found their problem-solving approach to be too formal and not tailored to our business's specific needs. Additionally, communication issues and delays negatively impacted our project, leaving us with an overall sense of dissatisfaction.
The good thingsThe EY team demonstrates a high level of professionalism and deep expertise in business consulting, enabling them to successfully tackle complex client challenges. Their dedication and innovative approach make EY a reliable partner for achieving sustainable growth and success in any conditions.
The challengesUnfortunately, our experience with the EY team did not meet our expectations. We were dissatisfied with their problem-solving approach, which was too formal and did not take into account the specifics of our business. Additionally, we encountered poor communication and delays in task completion, which negatively impacted our project.

    Good and bad…
The good thingsColleagues become friends. Looks great on your CV. Learn a lot quickly.
The challengesLack of resources across the board. There’s just not enough people to do the work and you’re not set up for success. The hours are ridiculous. Highly political. Salary is significantly below market. Don’t really think that most of the partners care about staff. It seems to be about increasing their profits and some people are just treated dreadfully. It’s taken me a long time to get over the way I was treated. I would NEVER go back and there are certain people there who I will actively avoid. My confidence was totally destroyed.

Working at EY was an incredible experience for me. I was fortunate enough to work for a Senior Partner and thrived on the calibre of internal and external stakeholders as well delivering a highly valued service.
The good thingsI loved the inclusive and collaborative corporate culture, the high standard of professionalism, and the demonstrated investment in employees through ongoing training.
The challengesDelivering the highest standard possible in my role while maintaining a work-life balance.

The company loves and supports its employees always.
The good thingsThe company and it's internal teams are all aligned with the same goal of benefiting and supporting its employees so that they can help the vast number of clients with their business problems.
The challengesBusinesses these days demands cutting edge technologies with the minimal budget, this becomes a bumpy and challenging ride, but definitely a fun one.

    It was absolutely horrible.
The good thingsMeeting a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
The challengesMicromanagement, little opportunity for progression unless you are a director of partner, constantly being told I need to change my personality, constant gossiping that has no relevance to the work at hand, not enough money for the hours put in.

Poor work life balance, a churn and burn culture that does not value its employees as long term prospects for development.
The good thingsThe variety of work is stimulating.
The challengesThe leadership cannot be trusted when they make promises in relation to the career paths of their people. There is a culture of dangling a false carrot in front of people’s heads to keep them around.

Looks great from the outside and on your CV, but is just used as experience for most due to perpetuation of high turnover culture.
The good thingsNice view, flexibility depending on your engagement, hours are great for most juniors.
The challengesEasy to be bored and lack purpose even with lots of work, lip service to things like culture which is actually very cold, clinical work space, lots of people who want to leave (which makes things very depressing).
