Brisbane QLD 4000Less than 1 year in the role, former employee
Placed at yr4 even though I had provided statements of service for yr7, never resolved.
The good thingsThe onboarding process was easy but glitchy.
The challengesCommunication, extremely poor with unanswered or unresolved issues with both recruitment and my consultant. App wasn't working for a few weeks prompting me to write and ask what was happening, just for them to fix it then- poor set up from them.

    Good agency to work at.
The good thingsThe management is good & good communication to staff. The website makes it easy to update availability- MUCH better than texting availability like other agencies. They were always nice on the phone. The recruitment process was well organised/ good communication. They gave good shifts. They tried to give you shifts at places you had worked before. The website allows you to update some of your competencies through them- no need to go to an external provider. The shift minimum is 4 hours. Pay is good. A good place to work
The challengesThe general challenges of agency work- little- no notice of shifts & unpredictable hours.

Once I took my first shift, I realised how great it is to work for this agency.
The good thingsSetting up availability on line is easy to do and easy to update. Signing on and off is very easy as it's all done at the location via staffing. The staff at First Choice are so nice and easy to talk to, very supportive.

The worst place I have ever worked.
The good thingsSome of the staff were excellent, and were a pleasure to work with.
The challengesThe C.E.O was a nightmare, oppressive, petty and manipulative. The negative cultural effect filters from the top down resulting in a workplace with low morale. Not surprisingly there was a high turnover of staff.
