A stressful experience marked by poor leadership, blame-driven management, and a lack of support. The good thingsThe main upsides of working at Foot Locker are the staff discount and, at times, some great customers who make the day more enjoyable. Beyond that, there are very few positives to highlight.
The challengesI joined Foot Locker with motivation and strong management experience, hoping for a supportive and professional environment. Unfortunately, the reality was very different.
There is a clear lack of support from upper management, poor communication, and constant pressure without proper guidance. Responsibilities are pushed down without the authority or resources needed to do the job properly. When issues arise, accountability is avoided and projected onto store-level management.
The workload is heavy, expectations are high, but the pay and recognition do not match the effort required. Instead of developing people, the culture often creates stress, frustration, and burnout.
Overall, this experience was a major disappointment. I would not recommend Foot Locker to anyone looking for a healthy, supportive, and growth-oriented workplace.
