    It was ok i guess. small company with no real growth
    The good thingsOwners were very supportive. Always easy to approach.
    The challengesMiddle management are totally inexperienced in managing personalities. A little more care should be shown towards who are in these positions. Managing these stores was all about keeping the casuals from leaving due to middle management.

    Unforgettable in the worst way
    The good thingsI enjoyed the first 5 years, was treated well and managed multiple sites, improved business that was underperforming and built amazing teams, had the same solid team for most of my career there. Until the owner stepped back and other “members” of the family stepped in
    The challengesThe change from respectful open communication to lies, made up stories, underhanded tactics and unethical conduct was incredibly disappointing and damaging. There is no care for employee welfare at all

    Felt uncomfortable every single day.
    The good thingsLoved the teams I worked with, until management/owners let them go for no reason. Easy job. No real management requirements for managers, basically glorified sales assistant.
    The challengesSmall business with no HR. Owners will fire staff for not saying hello to one customer. No training. Toxic ownership.

    I was proud of myself, the company and the products we sold
    The good thingsUnderstanding bosses, fantastic training, being able to sell top products and working in a constant friendly atmosphere with open minded people.
    The challengesMy only challenge was my own illness, my job was pretty much my everything! It was right up there with being a mum and wife.
