My experience reflects a disconnect between management and frontline staff, resulting in ineffective decision-making and a lack of support for both service delivery and employee wellbeing.
The good thingsBeing able to see the young people in our care flourish.
The challengesManagement is out of touch with program needs, lacks a client-focused approach, and shows little respect for the staff delivering services directly. The absence of communication and consultation leads to poor decision-making and unsatisfactory outcomes. Additionally, there is a noticeable disregard for staff wellbeing and needs.

I have loved my first few months being a part of the Foundations Care community and hope I can be here for some time.
The good thingsEveryone is so welcoming and willing to help. The flexibility of the work from home hours is perfect for my young family and the Managers are all accommodating. The job itself is very interesting and it is rewarding seeing the difference our company makes in other's lives.
The challengesWorking from home can have its challenges with forming work relationships and sometimes learning different things on the job. However, I would not change it as I still love the job and the flexibility that comes with it.

Both a rewarding and challenging role with great flexibility, striving for best practice and continuous improvement.
The good thingsFlexible working hours, work- life balance, great support from co-workers and management. Autonomy to do my job within guidelines. Striving for continuous improvement in work practices. Rewarding seeing positive outcomes for Children in care.
The challengesUnpredictability - no two days are ever the same. Every changing environment when dealing with supporting houses caring for Young People.
