    Fantastic engineering work content.

    The challengesBig shift in company policy to move much of the engineering work/content to India. The company is too engulfed in saving money rather than allowing the engineering department to focus on what it does best, engineering.

    I was employed by Industrea which was taken over by G.E. Mining.Due to a downturn and lack of fore thought by management, i was made redundant with no help from our union. How they did the redundancies was wrong.

    Having purchased Advanced Mining Technologies I was made part time then redundant within the two years of the take over of our company.
    The good thingsUpdating of computer systems, phone systems, accounting etc.
    The challengesNew computer system wasn't able to connect to there system as easily as they said it should, new phone system also didn't do what they said it would do lots of bugs.
