Work here if you like to work in a toxic company and feel undervalued
The good thingsThe work culture in the store is great - but not all stores have the same culture though
The challengesManagement team especially HR does not care about you - they will dismiss all the issues and problems that staff raised or escalated - theyre too busy playing politics in the office. they only care about their own kpis and they blame everything on the staff when things happen Theres is no career progression - management only promote people that they like or when theyre desperate - promotion and increment are not offered based on work performances Management team will gaslight and normalise work unfairness

    Such good memories.
The good thingsA great company! If you want to work in a diverse, friendly, and professional fashion company, Giorgio Armani is definitely a great choice! As an international student, this is my first job in Sydney. I have learned a lot about the clothing and fashion industry. I am very grateful to the entire team I worked with. They were very friendly and patient towards me, and I can say with certainty that working in my store is very enjoyable. Such good memories.
The challengesTook some time to adapt to the English working environment

Not worth your time, you will leave in a worse condition than you started.
The good thingsMet some lovely clients and fellow staff.
The challengesHead office departments don't appreciate what the floor shop staff go through. Upper retail management is a shambles. They don't support their good employees (so they leave), which leave them with staff that have bad attitudes or no expertise. And they wonder why they have a high staff turnover!?!

    BEST HR TEAM EVER
The good thingsDuring my 2 years working in Giorgio Armani, I had been trained to have the right skillsets and build up my capabilities, i.e. Payroll Processing, monthly reporting, and HR matrix/reporting to measure HR initiatives. Overall, working in fashion has been an excellent experience and valuable memory. I am very thankful to have the opportunity to work here. It is definitely an exceptional opportunity for you to grow and build up your capability in the HR field.
The challengesPeople here are passionate and over hospitable at feeding you with snacks/food, avoid if you are weight conscious.

An extremely unpleasant experience for an Head Office Role - avoid at all cost if you can
The good things- The ethos of the brand and the product is amazing, especially from the Giorgio Armani brand, as you would expect - Besides certain times of the Season, decent work/life balance
The challenges- An extremely toxic working environment and the head of the department is managed by people who know very little (if not nothing) about the product and know particularly well how to micro-manage their employees - Besides a few exceptions, most people are willing to throw you under the bus when you commit some mistakes, and most of the times you where most colleagues are willing - the Salary is much lower, compared to other Luxury Brands

Worst work experience of my life.
The good thingsGood staff discount, incentives and brand name. Some staff members more supportive.
The challengesThrown in the deep end with very little training and expected to perform immediately. High expectations, unrealistic targets, bad culture, unprofessional communication, no structure in company. Lots of overtime, no staff, no support. The company values their stock more than their employees. No teamwork or sense of community working for a luxury brand. Lots to develop in head office, start by listening to your employees and make a bigger effort in keeping them happy.

    horrible.
The good thingsthe store team would support one another.
The challenges- As a casual, it was expected to work at different locations. I would be relocated 30 minutes before my shift. - one little mistake and they punish you by giving you less hours - there is no appreciation or thank you from the company.

    Don't bother!
The good thingsSome of the people you work with are incredible!
The challengesVery poor management where you are unappreciated, under valued and there is an immature \"clique\" mentality (regardless of the person's position or age).
