This place was great to start with but got worse as time progressed.
The good thingsDiscount was good in terms of being able to get money off from all accent group stores.
The challengesNot being paid overtime when you have to stay back, not being valued or appreciated from management when you go up and beyond for your manager, not getting paid extra if you had no time to have a break, being on your own for vast amounts of hours.

Do not recommend. They need a new HR
The good thingsDiscount benefit is pretty good but certainly not worth the work and effort you'll need to put in
The challengesZero recognition for any achievement, IF any, credit goes to the incapable upper management Lack of communication and real head office support Company is so unconcerned with your safety You will be unable to succeed based on merit, in this role unless you have friends in higher places already

Good retail job for sure! Not great for progression.
The good thingsSalary (well above average for retail) store staff as well as product
The challengesHead office is truely so alarming, you will only ever succeed in this business if you are friends with someone above! It’s so sad how much it changed over the years. It became less meaningful as the years grew.

Great as an entry into retail, as a Christmas casual.
The good thingsIt was very fast paced (at the time I was working in December) and got me out of my comfort zone which I liked. The staff there were really cool to chill with and even went to work outings even after I finished my contract with them.
The challengesThis was my first time in retail so just learning the ins and outs of what makes the store come together as a cohesive unit was the first thing I had to get over. I found that I really didn’t get exposed to all areas of the store which was a bit of a negative for me, so I was pretty much doing the same thing after I had learnt the basics. You have to be willing to do other stuff and be vocal about it if you wanna gain more skills.

People were great, but overall poorly ran business. General and universal are miles ahead of Glue.
The good thingsThe people - co workers were amazing, it was pretty laid back at times.
The challengesManagement weren't the best, Mostly the higher ups (area managers etc), there is absolutely no room for internal progression. Will favour someone completely clueless who has never stepped foot in a fast paced retail store, than someone who has been there for years. Would only recommend for the social side of things.

    Good People Good Vibes
The good thingsAs an experienced retail assistant, the management here is great. They’re understanding, flexible and supportive. Staff are very easy to get along with, they very much feel like family! Gv Work perks and rewards always a bonus.
The challengesNot much to say about challenges... maybe having to deal with the not-so-happy customer/s here and there - but that’s expected in retail.

The job is both challenging and rewarding.
The good thingsThe staff at the office feel more like a family than a workplace. It is refreshing to work for a company that appreciates and cares about its employees, not just the bottom dollar.
The challengesNew projects are sometimes sprung up with very minimal completion time. Failure is not an option so you must use all and any available resources to ensure everything moves ahead within budget.
