You are seen as a number and not a name. Would certainly advise not to work here. Don't even bother asking for any sort of pay rise after being there for a while, you will be seen as an enemy.
The good thingsGood start and finish times.
The challengesTerrible Management, don't want to help you in any way. No career progression at all, you will be stuck at the bottom on the same wage the whole time.

Very good place to do an apprenticeship with excellent team leaders and managers who go above and beyond
The good thingsExcellent managers and team leaders who will go above and beyond to make sure that your full potential is reached during your apprenticeship. Great range of sites to work on as well offering a large variety in different skills and jobs.
The challengesCould pay a bit higher but that's about it. Hard labour in heat to meet deadlines in summer.

Look for something else or u will waste your time
The good thingsWorking outdoor, some good workmates.
The challengesNo training, apprentice left alone on job site with no instructions, lack of qualified landscaper, high turnaround of staff. Poor management and disorganised. Soon will do big merging with other landscaper company and will go even more messy.

I can't see myself at any other company.
The good things- Managment are fantastic, very family orientated and understanding. - Early starts, early finishes. - Progression opportunities for those who strive for that. - Many perks and benefits come with Green Options.
The challenges- Industry specific challenges are weather elements. Hot summers, cold winters and rain. But that's the industry. - You are the creator of your own challenges. Green Options have measures and support in place to help any scenario or challenge, it's up to you to source and take on the support before challenges become unbearable.

Management are an absolute Joke. No people skills and just arrogant. Not a company to look at working for, they want blood out of a rock!. And all they are looking for are apprentice`s for cheap labour.
The good thingsEarly Starts. Early Finish
The challengesDont ever ask for a pay rise.

This was the worst job I’ve ever had.
The good thingsThe only good thing is the early starts. And like every job there a few good blokes who work there.
The challengesLow pay Low rewards They ask you to work extra hours most days for free Apprentices are constantly left to run sites on there own. Appreciates work with unqualified people. Management do not care about apprentice learning or careers. They just use them to save money.

Good people to work around on site, terribly managed.
The good thingsWorking out doors Most of the tradesmen/apprentices are good to work around
The challengesManagement were difficult to deal with and very head strong, constantly had to do my own repairs and maintenance to machinery as management would do anything to save a dollar. And God forbid you ask for a pay rise when you get promoted from tradesmen to site manager.

Valued employee and plenty of opportunity
The good thingsPlenty of opportunity if you are keen to learn and show initiative. Working outdoors amongst beautiful landscapes that you play a part in shaping and maintaining. Not very stressful, laid back and work hours mean I avoid traffic. Accommodating.
The challengesOccasional interruptions while working by the public disapproving of the equipment used, (noisy) I get it. Often starting on the wrong foot because they are irritated so developing conflict resolution skills is helpful. Small teams depending on where you work so it can be isolating but on the other hand if you like autonomy you can work on your own if that’s what you prefer.....
