    The good thingsI’m fairly new to Greening Australia and have had a really good experience. Everyone’s been friendly and helpful, which made starting a lot easier. There’s a strong sense that people care about the work and the impact, which is nice to be part of. Still getting my head around everything, but so far it’s been a positive place to work.
    The challengesSome process improvements - but the good thing is that I have the permission and even encouragement to suggest and implement changes

    Wasted of time . Disappointing. GA could have had a reliable staff member and utilised my skills.
    The good thingsOverall staff are great.
    The challengesSome staff need to have an attitude adjustment though. (A few know-alls) Dealing with some leaders and some staff who don't want to hear ideas to better processes, raise public GA awareness etc is a challenge. Beyond poor communication. Low staff morale, an up hill battle to get anyone to come into the office. Leaders know better apparently. It all could be simply improved if only the leaders were genuine about communication/listening to ideas etc.

    An opportunity to make meaningful change
    The good thingsGA has a high degree of employee engagement for a not for profit organisation. Most employees work collaborative to achieve a common goal; reducing the effects of global warming and biodiversity decline. The organisation is led by a capable CEO who does an excellent job managing challenges and is approachable as well as engaging. There are many passionate professionals who make an important impact contribution.
