It's not what you think it is. Just a weird bubble to be in where everyone gets taken advantage of. Plenty of hypocrisy.
The good thingsSome staff discount on certain items, Clean uniform dry cleaning.
The challengesNot being able to speak Chinese/Mandarin will always be a challenge. Also the chances of meeting a big spender walk through the door feels like a lottery. Too many unrealistic goals & empty promises. All talk and no action. HR only really dealing with management & pretends that everyone is happy. No one is looking after the Client Advisors - who need be looked after the most (Most of them too afraid to speak up about compensation while feeling burnout). Plenty of easier jobs that pay more compared to the amount of work involved and the amount you sell.

Do not work just for a big name. It turned a dream job into a nightmare.
The good thingsGood office location and big brand name.
The challengesPOOR management and office politics everywhere. Couldn't feeling genuine team spirit or bonding vibe, no support from the manager / HR at all.

Financially rewarding but a fussy and overly demanding job.
The good thingsFinancially rewarding if you are willing to put the work in. Discounts/family and friends sales. Perks during busy periods (paid taxis after night shift)
The challenges-Management breeds a competitive environment in an attempt to get more out of client advisors resulting in bad team morale and fighting over sales. -No regular days off, unfair rostering (long shifts and always working weekends) -Uptight and superficial colleagues. -Bad behaviour from the numerous entitled and ill-mannered clients you’ll face is tolerated by the business.

The good thingsOn the most part the people are talented and good to work with
The challengesExpected long working hours, low pay and little progression, hence high staff turnover. Unprofessional behaviour is ignored.

Good learning experience but management is poor.
The good thingsGood staff discount, product training and immediate team members.
The challengesPoor management within stores and higher level, offering little support to staff. There is no work/life balance as rostering is not accommodating to staff not in management positions.

Not really good experience to work in Gucci because it’s not fair working environment
The good thingsNo too bad commissions structure if you could have chance on floor to sale. Not just arranged to back of house to unpack
The challengesManagement really looks after senior staff. They have good shift and no need to do unpacking or other back of house duties

The good thingsReporting systems (systems in general) are great and easy to learn / use (unlike most other merchandise systems in other Companies) Hierarchy structure is great and makes sense team work is one of the key strengths in the business Company invests in their people in terms of trainings abroad or local Individual development is important and reviews are consistent
The challengesFast paced luxury environment, always on the go always have to meet constant deadlines for corporate overseas office. Must be able to adapt and learn new things quickly as changes in the office happen quite quickly. Working overtime is standard, due to travelling for product training or buying trips. Must also be able to work on your own and as part of a team.
