Wonderful place, great culture, outstanding benefits
The good thingsFlexibility with WFH (2 from home, 3 in office). Culture is great, everyone is very nice and welcoming. Lots of outside benefits including breakfast, special breakfasts', team activities, paid lunches etc. Other benefits like WFH equipment being paid for and gym membership/services reimbursements.
The challengesInduction process is lengthy, as is any firm. Pay is average, I left my old workplace for less, however the benefits and perks supplement that loss.

The challengesThe people! Rude and a clear pecking order. Think it’s okay to openly belittle you in front of people

It's like working in a family business, a very big family business - in a great way.
The good thingsThe culture is amazing both work and social. The firm puts its money where its mouth is and takes care of its own and the hybrid work environment is conducive to allowing people the flexibility to find what works best for them. The firm consistently looks to improve its processes and services with the goal of benefiting not only its clients but its employees. It's a national firm with a small firm feel.
The challengesThe general challenges one faces when working in national teams (time difference, only virtual connection).

A great firm to be part of
The good thingsThe general culture at Hall & Wilcox is friendly, supportive and professional. Management were transparent, were excellent at communicating with all staff, took the time to know you, and made you feel valued. Reward and incentive programs were great. My immediate team were flexible and professional to work for. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hall & Wilcox.
The challengesThe only challenge for me was the everyday travel to the office, being that I lived so far away. Otherwise, there were no challenges.

    Do not recommend this place
The good things- great staff - Friday night drinks and lots of free food
The challenges- Partners are not professional at all, unrealistic expectations and no respect for the people who work for them - HR does not care for employees at all, they are just there to protect the company and partners who bring in the money - Toxic environment and very cliquey
