The good thingsA highly supportive environment with heaps of growth opportunities and a fun, engaging culture
The challengesYou need the ability to hit the ground running. The construction industry moves fast, and so do we, so if you are not open to change or have the ability to be agile then I'd probably steer away

Great people working across the business nationally.
The good thingsThe workplace culture is very friendly. There is job security and career development opportunities. The charitable causes Henley supports are also a source of pride.
The challengesChallenge is to manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders under time pressure but that will always come with working in a high performing team.

A fast-moving industry with chances to grow, genuine support and a real focus on customers.
The good thingsI've enjoyed the opportunity to work in different roles, learn new skills and grow in ways I didn't expect. The building industry is fast-moving and that brings plenty of variety day to day. Henley works hard to look after people - with a real focus on well-being, inclusiveness and teamwork. It also feels meaningful to be part of an industry that builds homes for people. We take time out to talk about how we can improve the customers experience - its not just about getting the job done.
The challengesThe pace is fast - but that comes with working in such a dynamic industry. The upside being that the pace also brings opportunities I might not have had otherwise.

    Couldn't wait to leave!
The good thingsI learnt about products and materials.
The challengesManagement, not supportive or encouraging. Had to fit a certain mould, a lot of chatting behind peoples back, nepotism, hard work not recognized or rewarded, difficult to get weekends off, terribly low wages.

This place was not for me.
The good thingsTeam members are friendly and supportive. My experience with Henley helped me decide what I wanted in my career, the type of company I wanted to work with and how to negotiate for better work conditions.
The challengesManagement are driven by results often leaving staff feeling overworked and under appreciated. There’s a high turn around of staff due to the high pressured environment. I struggled with creating a healthy life and work balance due to high volume of work.

Joining Henley was one of the best decisions i have ever made.
The good thingsHenley was a fantastic Company to work for. It was one of the hardest decisions to have to leave for personal reasons and I would go back in a minutes notice. Henley has a very friendly working environment with excellent product and a fantastic Industry Reputation. Henley's policies and procedures were clear and effective.
The challengesWorking weekends every week can be challenging but that is the nature of the business. Following Policy and procedures will ensure you a rewarding career. Assimilating product knowledge, policy and procedures whilst instantly having to deal with customers can be challenging to first time employees.
