    A great place to work!
The good thingsThe comraderie within individual teams and across the firm. The flexibility around work arrangements. The opportunities to network with other teams. The focus on a work / life balance. The benefits introduced to acknowledge staff.
The challengesThe main challenges are encouraging teams to get to know other teams and like any firm, staff retention.

    Toxic.
The good thingsThe support staff were friendly.
The challengesThere was no support or help from HR. There culture is very toxic. It is very old school, "us and them" mentality.

Fantastic opportunity to learn and grow and feel appreciated.
The good thingsThe firm make great efforts for their employees. The opportunities, training and friendliness was better than any other corporate setting I have ever worked in.
The challengesWorking on litigation is fast paced and at times stressful, working for national managing partner is often difficult to balance responding on their behalf and ensuring clients get their request dealt with directly, luckily the manager was very hands on and easy to approach to staff and clients alike.

Thoroughly enjoyable from my perspective but this depends on your team
The good thingsDepending on your partners, you get great exposure to some interesting matters. Partners are friendly and accessible and junior lawyers are all great.
The challengesSmall mid-sized firm that is struggling to establish itself in the tough Sydney legal market. Pay is below average and the work-hours aren't challenging (which might seem ok) but leads to a culture of mediocrity.

    Limited and underwhelming.
The good thingsNot much. There is a lack of leadership and opportunity for young lawyers. The partners are so focussed on the money side that there is no thought to the development of young lawyers.
The challengesPoor management, lack of opportunity. No development
