Keep clear, apply only if you are unemployed or hate your job. Looks good from the outside.
The good thingsProducts are good, Brand is Great, HP is great at promotion itself and average products as leading edge. Most people are great within HP and work very hard.
The challengesCompany seems delusional in many ways. Manipulation of market stats to imply total market leadership and self belief. Management un-supporting, lays blame and still behave in this way even if you are a high contributor / performer. Senior management team will sell their souls to maintain their position and status. They are also \"Yes men\" (Yes no female senior leaders in a company that does not practice what it preaches ) HP is a \"SPIN\" machine. Process is cumbersome, slow to move in the market, arrogance that pricing can be higher than everyone else

Not all bad, but poor pay and few opportunities make this multi-national a bit of a dead-end.
The good thingsOn-site parking and on-site canteen. Very close to public transport.
The challengesBelow average pay and no pay rise for 9 years (apparently they couldn't afford it). Very few career opportunities and no serious training for upskilling.

Entry level had no escape and the pay was not worth the stress.
The good thingsSome co-workers were nice and we were able to chat with each other throughout the day.
The challengesExtremely poor organisation and zero opportunity for career development. Credit was usually not given where it was due since statistics can be misleading at face value.

A wonderful environment to develop broad base business skills that can be use for a lifetime
The good thingsGreat history, as we as a deep understanding of people's contribution. Also the reach and opportunity across countries is tremendous.
The challengesManagement is somewhat disengaged from their people, and too focused on metrics, systems, and process and not enough on enabling people to get on with business. This is consistent though with most Multinational businesses!

The amount of bureaucracy needs to be reduced if HP wishes to progress.
The good thingsGood work life balance.
The challengesI have seen the goodwill of customers being destroyed because of the amount of bureaucracy, affecting overall contract revenue, and yet the management did not blink. Rather, cost cutting approaches were pursued, defying business logic.

Egotistical Company that believes its own hype to the detriment of its customers
The good thingsAfter working there for over 10 years, I can't really say there is anything outstanding about them.
The challengesConstantly given near impossible goals with little or no support or funding. The phrase run on a shoe string comes to mind.
