A pretty good first job, depending on who you work with. The good thingsThe best part of the job was working with fun people. They made the shifts so much more enjoyable. I had flexibility with my schedule, if I made a mistake it wasn't a big deal, some managers let us play music in the back and get free food. I learned a lot about customer service and gained valuable experience.
The challengesA challenge was staying friendly and welcoming to every customer, especially when many didn’t bother with greetings or manners. It’s tiring being ignored, and some customers were outright rude. I had a few encounters with customers who yelled or threw things, and I experienced intimidation and had my hand grabbed. It was also often dirty. The drinks and ice cream stations were sticky, the fries section was greasy, and the floors were slippery with oil.
