Never again miss the culture that I started with
The good thingsHome time, I made some great mates. Ready to forget. The culture in management is the worse I have experienced.
The challengesManagement and the power struggle between them. Where are the owners to be seeing and controlling this poor efforts. Young managers with no idea.

Made some great mates along the way. The commission is a kick in the face for how hard you work. Horrible retainer with lots of expected unpaid overtime. (Weekend field days ect).
The good thingsWork friends & the christmas party. The uniform.
The challengesWorking alongside people who don't respect the customer or the business values. Many people taking advantage of the company, especially managers. Very toxic.

H&P is a great place to work, built on a genuine care for both their staff and customers.
The good thingsThe people, culture, product and customers.
The challengesEvery workplace has it's challenges, it's how a business works through them that matters most. H&P are strong in this space, focusing on solutions and fairness in all levels of decision-making.

A great company, backed by great people, selling a great product and supporting a fantastic industry.
The good thingsThe people across the business are fantastic and very supportive. This is Australia and New Zealand's most progressive John Deere dealership. There is consistent growth and development with regards to policies, systems, technology and opportunities. The Leadership Team have a progressive mindset and are committed to sustainable growth, supporting industry with products and aftermarket support (parts and service), and are heavily invested in its people.
The challengesIf you are new to the industry and not a motivated, determined self starter, you will struggle. While training & coaching is provided, you won't be spoon fed. Otherwise, you will succeed and be supported along the way!

Incredibly inclusive. When I first started I was nervous being the only female in the shop. The guys were like brothers, always professional and helpful. Management always had their finger on the pulse.
The good thingsThe culture. It's built on family and community. 17 branches can't go wrong. It was a pleasure working for Aaron and the Hutchies family.
The challengesIt can get hot in the workshop in summer.

Limited career growth and surprisingly no project or staff management in a building filled with so called managers.
    The good thingsFWH and flexibility.
The challengesUnclear expectations and no guidance. Poor team management. Zero training or career progression. No project management. 40 hour working week

    Culturally challenging place to work.
The good thingsGreat customers, great industry
The challengesH&P wants to be a company that embraces change however too many staff in management positions stuck in their own world and refuse to change. Relationships between the companies head office and the branches is toxic. Such a shame because this company has the potential to be a great place to work. Very difficult to be accepted if you want to make a difference and help the company reach its full potential. I’m not saying I wouldn’t encourage people to work at H&P just be aware the company they say they are and the reality are miles apart. Culture is a real issue.

not what i expected from a average well known company.
The good thingsBeing able to meet customers and experiencing big machines and different equipment
The challengeslack of experience from the mechanics, management also lack experience . workshop was lacking the necessary essential special tools required to perform tasks. No discipline in the workshop, apprentices are more or less free to do what they want as nobody oversees them throughout the day.
