Only took the job to get out of a really bad industry and employer. If I had the opportunity today, with the terrible cost of living crisis, I would not take this job. You can barely survive on your own with the below average salary you get here, can't imagine having dependents.
If you really want a sales & service role in the finance & insurance sector, there's better paying companies then IAG. Keep looking. The good thingsGreat colleagues. WFH most days is a benefit, while we still can.
The challengesConstant management changes, which results in conflicting information about processes and procedures. The constant management changes also set back career development opportunities. Every time there's a change, you're back to square one.
Management trying to erode WFH, trying to force people into the office more often. Which does't work for most front line sales staff who are on below average salaries.
Salary isn't much higher then the minimum wage.
Managers that don't listen is also a challenge. Especially when they talk over the top of you, belittle you and speak to you like you're one of their children in front of other staff and team managers, essentially work place harrasment. Managers calling out individuals for not meeting KPI's and highlighting their individual stats in team meetings and in front of other teams also. The mental stress people are put under is horrendous. You really do bond with your colleagues as a result of this work place abuse.

The company CEO receiving an 18% pay rise, with a 37% increase in profits, and revenue well up on last FY, while front line sales & service staff are offered the government mandated 3.75%, or just 9.5% over 3 years, after only meager increases of 1-2% a year in the previous EA.
