Good people but bad company structure.
The good thingsMost people are nice, they're thoughtful and helpful when you need them to be. The industry is growing as well so you know you have that stability. New good ideas are welcome but will take ages to be seen.
The challengesUpper management people are very old school. They're not willing to understand what lower-level team members go through, especially after covid - there seems to be no disconnecting between work & home. They say they're truly 'hybrid & flexible' but some managers don't even consider it. Pay and benefits are definitely below market if you're not on a managerial level, bonus is good but not always stable. Systems used are buggy, lots of room for improvement.

Great people experience, the best manager and leadership I have worked with (and I have worked with hundreds of companies in the world, multiple F500, NYS, ASX, etc.)
The good thingsPeople are kind, culture is amazing, very flexible work environment, highly diverse and inclusive, CEO/Leadership is fantastic (strategist and visionary).
The challengesCompany is under constant change, what is good, moving from analogy to digital, but sometimes the time-to-delivery, methodologies/governance and quality are compromised internally.

The good thingsDiverse friendly culture, organisation with truly global operations - unique in Melbourne. It many other orgs have ops in over 130 global locations.
The challengesIneffective leadership and decision making. Immature understanding of what it takes to deliver of large change programs.

Overall a great experience, many opportunities, great work life balance, the goal and vision is worthy. Although board members need to sit down and evaluate if the company vision is being upheld by all business units.
The good thingsThe work life balance is amazing. You have the opportunity to get cross skilled in many things and staff are very friendly. CEO and CFO take the time to know your name and are very down to earth. Most management were very friendly and approachable and are open to constructive feedback. The work that the company is doing, is very commendable and is doing great things, globally.
The challengesLots of negativity surrounding the people and culture team. A lot of work needs to be done with management in that department. If you go for a job, avoid working in that team if you can help it. In all most areas across the business, staff are over worked and there is a huge capacity issue

It's been wonderful being part of the team at IDP
The good thingsIDP is a global organisation that helps people realise their aspirations through international education - its great to be part of an organisation that does this I love being part of a global organisation and all the diversity that brings
The challengesBeing a global business brings time zone challenges as well as the occasional cultural challenge as we all learn that not everybody approaches or understands things in the same way

    Great place to work
The good thingsGreat work/life balance with flexible working hours. The structure within the company is pretty flat, we can walk up to the CEO, CFO and have a chat.
The challengesToo many teams working on same projects but no one takes ownership of the work being done.
