    Uniform Shop Manager
    Dec 2025
Bangor NSW 22348 to 9 years in the role, former employee
Christian workplace where ideas are valued, & staff have autonomy to exact change within their role.
The good thingsWonderful, supportive Christian workplace, was able to have lots of autonomy within my role, was also able to work with principal to create new, updated uniform for students. I was also able to refine my systems to streamline them annually.
The challengesShop was behind the school, not on school grounds so could be isolated, but the communication and oversight improved a lot and was fabulous when I left.

    Really enjoy working here.
The good thingsVery friendly and supportive staff who work collaboratively. Great students who value positive relationships with their teachers. Comfortable staff rooms and air conditioned classrooms. Great resources.
The challengesWith a focus on excellence in education and character development there is an intensity when trying to get each student to achieve their potential. A high value is placed on the welfare processes which really looks after students but is demanding of staff as it is done really well at this school.

This was not a positive teaching experience for me.
The good thingsThe Head Teacher and Department I worked in were very supportive. Staff generally are very positive and supportive of each other.
The challengesStudents tend not to address their concerns in the first instance to the classroom teacher, but rather to their parents who then inform the Principal or Deputy Principal. Head Teachers are frequently bypassed in the issue resolution process.
