    Used to be a great place to work before the change in management. Unfortunately the company became top heavy with middle management who had no idea what they were talking about and only cared about making as much money as possible. This meant overloading employees with more work, providing no assistance & just simply not caring. No loyalty to their long standing employees whatsoever who just became a number. Worst part is the company parades around like it cares about its people and clients.

    As difficult as the impact COVID has had on work, I feel like IHG did really well. Managers and the leaders of the business kept us as informed as they can and have made themselves available should I need. Have recommended this business to family and friends as a great company to grow in.
    The good thingsFrom day one, people were extremely helpful and willing to assist me anyway they could. I feel as if it is pretty clear communication between the different levels of management.
    The challengesCOVID and shifting to work from home for the early stages of it were challenging. It was so new to all of us that at times you felt isolated however that wasn't my managers or companies direct issue ,we all were learning and adapting.

    The good thingsNothing good, only good coffee machine and good location to a train station
    The challengesUnrealistic and high expectations on staff with little to no help or understanding from management. Very little proper training provided, was advised to learn on the job and when put into “training sessions” still very little actual training was provided.

    The good thingsIncredibly welcoming and accepting team, willing to train and share knowledge to empower their team members to succeed in their roles.
    The challengesStarting in a lockdown - but that would have been in any role. The team at Insurance House Group did an exceptional job at onboarding and inducting me virtually.

    Insurance House is the best company I've worked for!
    The good thingsFantastic place to work! The team are friendly and helpful and management truly value the input of their staff. Insurance House is also flexible and help you to achieve a really positive work/life balance.
    The challengesNo real challenges to report, I've been genuinely happy with my time so far at Insurance House. All workplaces have their little issues but nothing that hasn't been answered or overcome.

    The good thingsAwesome business to work in, not the normal corporate attitude, fantastic managers right to the top who listen, care, empathise, support, and treat you as an equal; flexible work/life balance, friendly staff who support and back each other. The best broking business I've ever worked in over 30+ years. Lovely place to work.

    The challengesAs a growing business, IHG are working through some of the common challenges many businesses face during this process. An area of imporvement would be to implement proactive approaches to execute their strategic plans.
