Double edged sword- stay on your toesSome very good people work here- logistics, Engineering etc. People & culture- fake & quite toxic. Be careful who you trust. Thankless job most of the time. Bigger office tend to forget about their smaller counterparts. Also- very very fond of hiring temps (mostly students) where turn over is high, but won't retain talent.

So sad to see for a once great company.
The good thingsGreat people to work with.
The challengesI watched it go from the best place to work to a shambles. Management making bad decisions and throwing more and more money trying to prop up their mistakes.

A very fond and positive experience overall, would recommend
The good thingsGreat leadership, they genuinely care about you Great peers, you can tell they make it a point to hire great people, not simply people who can get the job done Work culture is very positive and supportive, underpinned by great cultural values Onsite barista’s in Melbourne and Sydney A lot of potential for career progression, if you’re patient
The challengesThe salary is not particularly great compared to the market The culture differs depending on team / department

Supposed to be one of the greatest places in Brisbane to work... Clearly not.
The good thingsStaff bbq each month, good Christmas parties. Close to cafes. Onsite parking.
The challengesNo opportunities to grow, lack of management and support. Broken promises in career progression. High staff turnover. Upper management turn blind eyes to what is happening until everyone kicks up a fuss. Hardworking staff are undervalued and unappreciated.

    Love this place!
The good thingsThe team at Interactive really care! The purpose that has been defined to 'keep technology human' really reflects the people and the philosophy of the Company. This makes a huge difference, not only as an employee but also when you are servicing customers. The Company really cares about it's people and that has been so evident during COVID-19 with the amazing support provided to not only staff but also their families. The culture and people is what makes the difference here. The Company punts above its weight in many areas - service, financial performance, growth, sustainability, learning opportunities especially for techs.
The challengesInteractive has had many years of growth and it has taken some time for the systems and processes to catch up. A massive investment has been made over the last few years. There's been lots of change as we adjust to new ways of working but these investments were perfectly timed to enable us to work seamlessly from home

Plenty of career opportunities, flexible work culture and you can really make a difference.
The good thingsGreat executive leadership with a clear vision, plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and get involved in special projects and a positive culture. Things move quickly and it is great to work for a company that wants to be progressive and not stand still. Recent executive hires in recent times are really driving the company forward. Mature work culture where flexible working is encouraged and you are judged on output.
The challengesLike any company the systems are improving but aren't perfect.

I feel very lucky to work for such a fantastic company with an amazing group of people!
The good thingsI have enjoyed every minute of my time working at Interactive. Everyone is friendly and genuinely happy to be at work. Interactive has a very special, unique culture that can't compare to anywhere else I've worked. I have always felt treated as an equal and feel as though I have just as much opportunity within the company as anyone else. To make things even better, there's plenty of free parking for all staff (which is so rare in Melbourne) and an onsite barista who serves complimentary coffee all day long! Having recently moved to Melbourne from Brisbane, I was nervous about starting over, but the Interactive team quickly became my family and I feel extremely lucky to be working with such a great group of people.
The challengesI honestly can't think of anything to share here.

Not the best place to work overall.
The good thingsGood people. Unlimited coffees. Employees are focussed on delivering their best.
The challengesLack of growth. Not enough new sales to keep the business going. A number of headcount reduction done quietly.

In terms of team structure and managment it has lots of drawbacks and it needs to be improved and also it got worst than when I joined to the company. So it is not recommended.
The good thingsNice workplace to work at and nice facilities including onsite parking
The challengesLack of proper management, lack of proper communication between the technical departments, lack of co-operations between people. Most of PMs do not have basic technical IT knowledge to work with. Also it is far from CBD and makes it inconvenient for staff to commute.

Experience has been good, but the environment somehow feels toxic.
The good thingsGood offices. On site barista. Unlimited training materials. Management are open to let you work and recommend new ideas and learn that are usually beyond the scope of the role.
The challengesJustice to the role. The role in general is good. But it’s a dumping ground for higher level staff. Usually repetitive tasks or tasks that are difficult to manage are pushed down. This makes the learning curve poor.

A rewarding experience with many employee perks
The good thingsMost people are amazing to work with - the value of client and staff relationships is what makes the brand so unique. There are many employee perks; onsite barista, charity work, paid volunteering days, monthly lunches, free parking. A strong underlying culture to do what you think is the right thing and being supported in the decisions you make is a core value and rings true.
The challengesTranslating the value of the talented staff to the balance sheet & what they can offer clients that is unique and different. Seems difficult for the org to know how to sell the value prop of their people to clients.

The good thingsIt is exciting to be apart of a transformation story. It is the perfect environment to do your very best work and have unique challenges to expand your skills. As a team, we have come very far is a short space of time and looking forward to what is up next!
The challengesFantastic travel opportunities to Melbourne and also Friday drinks are always a great way to finish off the week. Friendly colleagues who genuinely care.

    Information Technology Support Role
    May 2019
Overall enjoyed my time at Interactive but ultimately left after a short time due to frustration. Poor career progression options and lacking role challenges with management team that was reluctant to improve/change.
The good thingsGreat working environment with accompanying facilities (on site car parking) and great people.
The challengesPoor process and management structure and seemingly unwilling to learn from previous mistakes they continue to fall down the same holes. Management appear reluctant to adopt new process frameworks aimed ultimately at providing improved outcomes and fit for purpose technology platforms.
