Stressful, low pay, not a good option
The good thingsNot having to leave the house is about all.
The challengesIncredibly dull, repetitive and depressing. Insane requirements. No appreciation for work done well. Pay rate considering the physical cost of working overnight is very low and the workload is constantly being upped.

    Enjoying my time so far.
The good thingsThe flexibility is better than any other perk I could ask for. I'm able to work very autonomously but know that my manager and team are always there to support me. Collaboration is easy, even when we aren't in the same office. The location of the office is great too, very central.
The challengesIt can be challenging managing calls and meetings across timezones but my manager is happy for me to get back any time I spend in the evenings or mornings on calls at other times. It would be great to have a few more perks too but other than that i'm pretty happy.

Toxic internal politics. Free advice -- ❌“Avoid this place”❌
The good thingsWorking arrangements & clients.
The challengesNo career growth & equal opportunities. Promotion is not based on merit & experience but if you “vibe” with senior. Diversity in senior leadership is out of syllabus!

The good thingsLots ad lots of technologies to learn
The challengesNeed to be extremely agile to be able to work across the huge stack. Willingness to learn is another key point.

I've seen a lot of change here and love the direction we're on, the team we have built and the outlook for the future.
The good thingsIsentia has the premium and most comprehensive service in the market, and it's a pleasure to help our clients make better-informed decisions - with real and validated data. We have gone through a lot of change in recent times and that has been difficult for some, leading to some turnover. We now have a great team in place and strong pipeline of product development has been flowing through in recent months. With so much change there's great opportunity for career progression for high performers.
The challengesWe are the industry leader in our field and have to deal with a lot of \"me-toos\" offering watered-down versions of what we do at bargain-basement prices. Typically clients come back to us but unfortunately it's only after they've committed budget, time and reputation on something that doesn't cut it. Internally, we've been focused on building a superior service for our clients, often to the detriment of having the most whizz bang systems and offices for our people. With our new leadership team and better processes in place, we're seeing improvements internally, which is a welcomed relief.

    Taken for granted.
The good thingsEnjoy working with local team.
The challengesHeaps of buggy legacy systems and a product that is hard to sell when it is inherently not as good as competitors. Back end processes are entirely manual and rely on hours of work from low-paid employees. Many teams not in sync with each other, e.g. Product and Marketing, not in sync with Sales. Was given a promotion and promised a pay rise and kept on the hook for months, working on retaining millions of dollars worth of client accounts only to be told I wasn't getting a pay rise...but I'd already done all the hard work.

Worst job ever, would never go back
The good thingsThere were opportunities to work overtime
The challengesThe management team at Isentia Canberra is manipulative and unkind, they truely don’t care about their employees. The hours are horrible and the pay is below average, and my over all experience after 2.5 years was horrible.

A good company which is badly managed.
The good thingsTech stack for new projects is pretty good.
The challengesManagement is clueless about future direction. Systems are unnecessarily complicated, and many legacy systems still being used. Tons of technical debt.

Give this one a miss, keep looking for better options!
The good thingsTeam lunches and sales incentives, if you work in the Sales department
The challengesTerrible IT infrastructure, all systems have bugs and errors making work nearly impossible. Poor management, complaints re this are not being listened to by HR or senior level management. No opportunities for career development, the role you get in the one you're stuck in.

Decent company steered by the wrong people
The good thingsGood colleagues but that’s about it.
The challengesPoor management and leadership. Low pay, overworked, and expected to stay in the office past 6pm without pay. Melbourne leadership team needs an overhaul. They are unprofessional and lack leadership and vision. Very low pay compared to other companies

I learnt a lot but mostly the hard way
The good thingsWork was interesting. Some managers were excellent and supportive. There was lots of work and I was never bored. The HR team have made a positive difference to many areas in the last 3 years.
The challengesCompany direction changed constantly and was not communicated well - it was very confusing. There were a lot of underperforming and disengaged employees who blocked progress and success. Some teams were excluded from announcements, training and social events. Multiple employees were treated poorly by multiple departments when they tried to progress their career at Isentia.

    Learning and personal growth.
The good thingsThe chance to work everyday with a great range of clients. The information that Isentia is able to generate for them, can make changes to strategy and policy, and to be part of that process was extraordinary. Innovation was key, and Isentia continues to work very hard to be innovative.
The challengesSomedays too many ideas flowed and the workload mounted as a result of what appeared to be a lack of strategic links between projects.
