No regread of leaving this job
The good thingsHandle equipment and learn new things
The challengesFair and equal behaviour with every employee not if you are managers buddy you will be exempted with safety policys. Alot of hardwork handle heavy items like Scaffolding and Fence pannels + blocks by own not much rest or they put their own task on you to make your day difficult or very busy minimum wages no overtime even you are leaving late ongoing basis.

The best place I've ever worked and I'd go back any day.
The good thingsAmazing team, everyone was dedicated to the job, management always looked out for you even if you made mistakes, super supportive of you and the pay was great. You can make friends for life here easily.
The challengesDay to day could be very different, one day doing regular customer service, the next you're out helping on major projects with big jobs, not that its a bad thing. Customers can also be a challenge.

Not the worst job, but far from the best
The good thingsThe camaraderie and banter shared between your team; profit share bonuses; great for a complete beginner as extensive training is provided; the emphasis on safety
The challengesLack of training on specialist products unless you work at a specialist branch; long hours can be draining; the amount of manual work can be taxing; weekly pay doesn't feel equal to the work you do

Great entry job, don't think about working your way up.
The good thingsGreat job for entry level workers without qualifications. Pay is good for drivers, and low level roles.
The challengesManagement are taken complete advantage of. Goal posts continue to be moved ensuring you don't get paid your fair share of profits. No support from upper management. Old business mentally prevents true growth from branches.

Not ideal if you don't have a mechanical background
The good thingsNot bad pay for the job
The challengesMade to feel like an fool early on as i knew nothing, often excluded from general conversations and never received much direction or told what was expected of me. The attractive salary hides a pretty low hourly rate which shows in the fortnightly wages after tax.

Not a bad employer but terrible pay
The good thingsFinishing for the day.
The challengesI learnt a lot in a short period of time, I am very appreciative of the opportunity, but the job itself is very physically demanding and its high-risk work. The pay is shockingly low for what's required and the whole salary bit hides a poor hourly rate.

Kennoath, the best and I agree!
The good thingsOne of the best companies to work for as far as inclusion, team spirit and culture goes. I loved every minute with the company - Highly recommended!
The challengesCan be slow with career progression but only due to the fact that everyone loves working there and nobody leaves.

The challengesSenior management has no clue what happens in a branch. Poor leadership by senior managers on branch managers and staff.

    Greatest place to work!
The good thingsEveryday is a new and exciting challenge. I've been working at Kennards for many years and have loved every minute of it and the opportunities that come your way really help your career. It's a family owned company with real family values and that can be felt across each level of the organisation.
The challengesThere are many demands of working within a company like Kennards, it's a big company with a lean operation which means you sometimes need to fill in a few gaps. It's a nice challenge though as personally it has allowed me to grow in my role and develop cross functional skills in the business

    Great company, poor work load.
The good thingsGoing home at the end of the day would've had to of been the best thing about working with Kennards. Being able to get out on the road and get away from management, and everyone else in the branch was absolutely awesome.
The challengesGoing to work. Management need a serious overhaul, the whole company needs an overhaul. People in higher places, that don't understand the job, or the expectations out of their employees as a "SPD - Service Person Driver"

The best job I have ever had by a very long way.
The good thingsI appreciate Kennards Hire more now after leaving for a few years. My experience much better second time around though that has a great deal to do with my manager and the position I am in.
The challengesBuilding a new team takes time and not everything moves as quickly as one may wish inside Kennards Hire.

A great company with amazing values
The good thingsKennards Hire is a wonderful family owned business with a group of people who put customers and safety at the centre of everything they do. I you join Kennards Hire after having working with a big cooperate organisation you will have a culture shock. They have a fantastic group of managers who look after their people and team members are loyal to the company and give it their 100% which in return brings win/win outcomes for the business and the longevity of the company. The Kennards family look after their people and treat everyone like a member of the family. It is wonderful to see that a family run business in going strong and doing great things in the community. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to work for this company.
The challengesDue to the size of the company the opportunities to move around the business and grow are very little. If an opportunity does come up you can be sure that there are many people in the queue already earmarked for that opportunity so do not expect to get a chance to move or grow within the organisation. However if you are happy to go to work, have a stable role this challenges would not bother you. Also many of the managers have started with the company at a very young age and overtime have become managers. The company has a lot of good managers but many of them lack basic "leadership skills" as not much is invested in developing leaders in this company, rather teaching you how to "manager"stuff really well!

Great place to work if you manage to land yourself at a good branch with a good manager.
The good thingsStaff at some Branches are excellent to work with and you make some great mates and learn valuable practical life experience. Great bi-annual bonuses and free hires.
The challengesA few individuals can bring down the positive working environment. It can very greatly from branch to branch. You work long hours 10/11 hours a day and weekends and the pay rate is pretty average. For the knowledge and work required they could do better on wages.

    Stale
The good thingsGot paid on time every fortnight, was really close to my house also, other than that nothing really
The challengesThe hours and pay are horrible, 7-5 everyday for the money they pay is just so unrealistic - the work life balance is non existent, as they require you to work Saturday’s and Sunday’s, not a good place to work if you actually have a social life/out of work responsibilities. Every day is literally the same there and nothing is different. Very boring and not much variety in the work. Just wasn’t for me

The good thingsGreat culture with opportunities to learn a lot, good support and involvement from management and good work life balance.
The challengesAs a serviceman/driver, there was a lot to learn when starting up, as Kennards carry a wide range of equipment and machinery. I also found this was a great opportunity to learn about a wide range of equipment.
