An inspiring place to work where people, culture, and growth truly matter.
The good thingsI love the supportive and collaborative environment at King Living. The company invests in its people, provides great training, and celebrates success. Leadership is approachable, and there’s a genuine sense of teamwork and pride in what we do
The challengesLike any fast-growing company, there are times when priorities shift quickly and things move fast. While this can be challenging, it also creates opportunities to adapt, learn, and grow.

The perks will fool youThis is not the “fun, engaging environment” they preach their company as. There is no real growth and progression in this company and are treated poorly if you have your own voice.

    Great work environment most times
The good thingsThe people I have worked with have been, helpful, wonderful. the memoires I have made with some people will forever held on to.
The challengesGoes through management very fast, and favors people that have family higher up. Some managers were tough to get along with as they saw themselves better then most.

It was good while it lasted, King tend to lose very good people and allows unintelligent people to manage showrooms.
The good thingsGreat manager at the time. Was a very family team to work along side with and made manager at the time looked after the team very well.
The challengesThe new manager micro-manages lies about opportunities she can provide, cannot retain any information, bombards staff with emails, is unprofessional in front of customers, rude, and cannot take accountability for her own actions and blames staff always.

A dynamic, supportive and innovative workplace that values collaboration and growth.
The good thingsWorking at King Living has its perks, especially if you enjoy being part of a team that values quality and innovation. There's quite a few smart and talented people you get to work with and it's great getting to know them socially as well. There’s a strong focus on collaboration and making sure everyone has a chance to contribute, which helps create a supportive and productive environment. While it can be fast-paced and sometimes challenging, it’s rewarding to see the impact of your work and feel like you’re part of something bigger. The company also puts effort into helping employees grow and develop, offering opportunities to build new skills and feel valued. Like any workplace, it’s not perfect, but the focus on creating a positive experience for both employees and customers makes it a pretty good place to be.
The challengesWhile King Living offers a great environment with plenty of opportunities for growth, like any workplace, there are areas that could use some fine-tuning. The fast-paced nature of the business, while exciting, can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially during peak periods, and having additional support during these times could make a big difference. Communication across teams is generally good, but there’s always room for improvement to ensure everyone stays aligned, especially in such a dynamic and innovative environment. The focus on high standards and quality is inspiring, though it can occasionally feel like there’s a lot to juggle, so finding ways to streamline processes could help lighten the load. That said, the company’s willingness to evolve and improve is a definite positive, and it’s clear that employee feedback is valued.

Not the family feel they claim to value.
The good thingsGreat product and base level employees are all fantastic, amazing and hard working people.
The challengesTerrible management, as a business they do not value or respect or reward their staff. They are not the family environment they claim to be and haven’t been for years. They offer no flexibility with working arrangements despite claiming to want to give their employees flexibility. I do not like writing poor reviews however there are no recent seek reviews compared to Glassdoor and I feel people need to be warned.

Great company with genuine career development opportunities for dedicated employees
The good thingsKing is a company that values dedicated employees, and provides opportunities to expand your knowledge and experience if you express an interest in doing so. There are always opportunities to develop your skills and pursue different avenues within the business for those who show aptitude and enthusiasm. Fronted by an owner who has a genuine interest in his team and his products, with a drive and passion that is inspirational to witness & definitely instils a sense of pride in the company we work for. Good work life balance with the opportunity to work from home part time, and managers who take the well-being of their teams seriously. Good remuneration with generous staff discounts plus decent commission structure for retail employees.
The challengesThe stresses that come from working for a made-to-order furniture company during a global pandemic. There is only so much possible from a business perspective, and managing customer expectations can be difficult and very draining. High turnover rate of senior staff can make the environment feel a little disjointed.

If you want to start or further your career KING can offer it all! Fantastic company culture, fast paced environment with constant opportunities for growth!
The good thingsGreat place to work, grow and develop with an Australian owned company who are genuinely invested in employee's development. Company culture is fantastic with a warm feel in the Head Office and in Showrooms. Lots of internal promotions and side ways steps in to other departments which speaks to the culture, people stay with KING!
The challengesBeing a retail brand everything is fast paced! Every department is busy and productive as the company continues to grow at an impressive rate.

    Fantastic Australian-owned family company
The good thingsAmazing company to work for. Loads of opportunities to work in different parts of the business (mostly in NSW but they're there). AWESOME teams on showroom floor. Great discounts. Really fair commission structure and incentives.
The challengesDealing with delays but that is every business that makes their product to order. Conveying this to customers who don't want to hear it. Communication between departments could be better.
