My experience with Kirinari Community Services has been positive, supportive, and helpful .
The good thingsGreat support, friendly staff, and very caring service. I am happy with Kirinari and truly appreciate their help.
The challengesThe service is good, but improving communication and shift consistency would make it even better.

Okay, manager wont talk to you about anything and nothing gets addressed if you raise any concerns.
The good thingsThe clients and some of the other support working staff.
The challengesManagement is juvenile at best, concerns fall on deaf ears. No regard for you or anything personal/health concerns that arise.

    Lack of communication.
The good thingsThe clients and some other carers. The pay was good.
The challengesNo communication from your manager. No support for Carers. Inadequate Care plans. Constantly asked to work days I said I was not available. Availability was noted in the application and again in the interview and there was no weekend work. Then being told I needed to be available till 6.00 pm 7 days a week. I was employed to work in NSW and was told we get VIC public holidays not NSW holidays.

Threw you in the deep end with everything and expected you to swim, eg. Paperwork, report writing, note taking.
The good thingsGood pay, especially in holidays and weekends. Clients are usually great.
The challengesOnly casual, so didn't know if/ when I was working. Regularly got called in on short notice. Expected to learn everything quickly with limited training. Difficult to use computer system for note taking and report writing. Not user friendly.
