Overall not too bad but definitely negotiate your pay
The good thingsTeams were great and very welcoming - formed some good friendships - good education and training opportunities were offered once requested
The challengesManagement was harsh and had unrealistic expectations of all team members - pay discrepancies with team members doing the exact same job and having large gaps in pay when work output and results were exactly the same

Sad to see such a Juggernaut crumble to these levels all because of poor decisions.
The good thingsSome of the original people that still work there.
The challengesLack of maturity in management has caused mass exodus of experience. Culture is toxic

Very toxic work environment with total incompetent management!
The good thingsThe field technician are the only hope for this company, the office is just full of blow-hard yes men
The challengesThe management has changed over the years, they are all incompetent. This company is a very toxic place to work, don't waste your time.

    Once bitten twice shy
The good thingsMost of the people who used to work there were good people, now replaced with 'yes' people.
The challengesWhere do you start. Totally woke culture. Under payed and overworked. Lack of real roll support. Culture turning toxic

The best company in terms of people but tensions are daily as the expectations is to create the same past results with a third of the staff. Nobody will be there to train you.
The good thingsThe most diverse, fun and wonderful people works there
The challengesUnfortunately this is a company in a spiralling down trajectory for the last 7 years. This makes it a rotating door where people last very short periods unless they are one of the few who were there since the beginning.

    Understaffed, overworked, unsupported.
The good thingsLifts are fun, the products are mostly pretty good. I had many decent co-workers.
The challengesThe company has taken the “lean” approach to running company, and it is now running into the ground. They still magically expect the same outcomes, with no support or resources.

I delayed writing this review for a few weeks to get a good feel of the company, its culture and styles of leadership across levels of the business. Needless to say I have been very impressed.
The good thingsIt was obvious from the start that safety, staff well being and upskilling are key to the success of the company. KONE has very experienced leadership and a history of promoting from within. It is wonderful (and common) to have people sharing their knowledge of over 30 years in the business which is testament to their focus on personal development planning.
The challengesFrequent use of acronyms can be challenging in the first few weeks.

absolutely horrendous from start to finish, worked across multiple departments for years and can honestly say it's the worst company I've ever come across.
The good thingsresigning, learning their products before working for the superior competition
The challengeshigh staff turnover, management with no people skills or training, soulless company with no ethics or regards for customers

The company could be competing in the market if it were managed correctly. If managers respected their staff, they would be able to hold staff.
The good thingsWork Colleagues, some aspects of the work and the amount of travel
The challengesManagement, poor communication and lack of respect for workers.

Might do as a filler if you cannot get something more worthwhile at a better rate given the high workload and challenges in the market.
The good thingsNice office space in Mascot, including gym facilities and end of trip.
The challengesVery fast paced. Very high volume of work. Lack of communication nor any transparency from the legal manager who excels at managing up but not down. Compared to salary surveys we are at bottom. Challenging market. Poor IT support and no files in the cloud making working remotely very tedious and which leads to you working more hours given slow upload and download speeds.

Re-energised and excited for whats to come.
The good thingsIn 2020 there have been major changes to the leadership team - from our Managing Director through to middle management. It feels like a re-energised business and a much more collaborative environment. The people I work with are highly intelligent and friendly, and there are a number of transformation projects underway in the business - which means exciting work for me/ my colleauges to be a part of.
The challengesLike any business there are pockets of old school thinking, but I can already see a drastic change in the 12 months I've been here. For the better. KONE is hiring outside of industry and really encouraging diversity of thinking.

Allows flexibility to use your creativiry to win with customers.
The good thingsThe top tier of management has a philosophy of making employees happy for the reason of getting customers happy. It doesn't necessarily flow down to the lower layers but the philosophy is good.
    The challengesInexperienced lower tier managers.

I’ve been working here for several years, no one gave me any feedback about my performance throughout the entire time.
The good thingsInnovative global company, market leader and a lot of opportunities around the world.
The challengesSubstantially low salary in comparison to the market, career development is very vague, you found out second hand about roles and opportunities after they’re awarded to someone else. Lack of personal or department KPI. Very reactive approach instead of proactive. Managers are occupied at fixing problems instead of planning how to avoid them.
