Great doughnuts. Don’t get fooled by the sweet place to work — that’s only for those working from home; inside, it’s toxic with unqualified managers and unfair promotions.
The good thingsFree Donuts, coffee and discounted priced drinks.
The challengesToxic work culture, unqualified senior managers, and unfair promotions based on connections instead of proper procedures

No life outside of work allowed.
The good thingsGood first job to have - sets you up with experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
The challengesManagement is judgemental and won't take no for an answer. The amount of times I was pressured into doing shifts when I was already working upwards of 36 hours a week was crazy. When requesting time off, I was met with annoyance for 'abandoning the team'. Severely understaffed for the amount of work that needed to be done.

Ive worked at many places but this place would always be the best. Making great friends and growing together as a team. They'll be disagreements but if you just do your job and stay positive then youll do fine.

It has its ups and downs, and it is definitely only recommended as a first job for younger people.
The good thingsFellow Team Members and Team Leaders were great. Stayed longest because of them only. Frequently told I had a cool job.
The challengesManagement takes things very personally. It would actually affect the work culture, they have the paperwork for it but not the practice. Among the people who work at the head office, especially management, only few actually care and are actually good people. Lack of communication from different departments, especially with regards of sorting online orders. Absolute circus of a management team. Work-life balance only for team members, managers and team leaders almost get no peace on their day off.

Hard work, low pay, ungrateful management,
    The good thingsCo-workers are alright.
The challengesBusiness lacks direction & organisation - SA Krispy Kreme is owned and run by Peregrine - who have become jack of all trades master of none. Lower management often incompetent, upper management aggressive & rude. Frequent issues with under-paying, stock shortages, store hygiene & OHS concerns with upper management unwilling to facilitate store requirements.

The good thingsFree doughnuts and some good teammates
The challengesNo career progression. Management doesn't practice what they preach. Team culture is the worst, with lots of blame and pressure. Huge staff turnover as people can't put up with this environment. The only staff that can survive in head office are machiavellian.

    Great work, average pay.
The good thingsA great company culture. Each employee at Krispy Kreme seems to have a little spark of madness that makes working there so enjoyable. 25% discount if you work in South Australia, and six free doughnuts a shift if you work interstate. Great opportunity to engage with customers. Making someone's day when you give them their coffee or doughnut is a great feeling. Fast-paced, hard-working environment. Always lots to do and teaches you effective time management
The challengesIn South Australia, at least, managers are over-worked and payed little more than normal team members. Overtime isn't a possibility at all. Management is also average at best.
