Management is controlled by China, over promise and don't pay out the bonuses.
The good thingsGood pay, but they often don't pay out the bonuses they promised.
The challengesManagement changed strategy and direction 6 times within 12 months, making it hard to follow and clients often confused by new direction.

Worst company I have ever worked for.
The good thingsGood products and partnership with other companies
The challengesWorst management. More interested in making the monthly budget than the health or welfare of the staff. A person can be in hospital and the management will hassle them to get back to work.

Working here was very tough but I did learn a huge amount which has helped me going forward. People join companies, but leave managers.
The good thingsMarket leader with great products and a very well known brand. HR try hard to make this a place you want to be.
The challenges100% Middle Management needed a complete refresh. Hyper Micro-management, lack of leadership, very clunky old school IBM processes and thinking. Team members very negative about their experiences. high staff turnover.

Take the paycheck and run, focus on yourself and what brings you joy as work will not.
The good thingsThe local ANZ team was good
The challengesToo top down, too much cut, cut, cut - no focus on growth. Poor work/life balance. Distant Chinese management doesn't care to understand local business culture or environment.

    Glad its over!
The good thingsWhen things are good- they are REALLY good. Performance based bonuses. Relative autonomy to get the job done. Innovation and pioneering is the focus, however strong history of IBM products helps.
The challengesWhen things go bad - management starts to panic. Change is wholesale or not happening at all. Chinese management strategies do not gel well with regions outside China.
