Don't take the bad stuff too personally while you're making fat stacks working from home. The good thingsWorking from home is encouraged, flexible working arrangements, central locations all over London, many functions and socialising opportunities, great people, lots of different projects to get stuck into, access to some very brilliant people to help you grow.
The challengesWay too many meetings and time spent in meetings. Sometimes managers have no real understanding of the software development and delivery process. In the current setup if your project ends and you're a contractor you have to rush around trying to find another one so you don't get fired so there's no smooth transition. Knowledge management and sharing is poor, although that's understandable in such a large organisation. For example, someone, somewhere may have just the thing you need to get your job done but you won't know that they do or even who or where they are. There is way too heavy reliance on poor quality offshore staff who cause more problems than they solve.
