Make the company as much money as possible. No limits.
The good thingsHaving your own van and meeting customers to expand your own business.
The challengesManagement tries their hardest to make your job difficult, charge work expenses to you directly and advertises charging customers excessive amounts.

Good if you're a single individual with no commitments, with a high knowledge on vehicles.
The good thingsCompany vehicle supplied, fuel paid for, good bonuses to make if you're willing to put in the effort. Over-time and extra work always available, and very strict on safety.
The challengesYou're not paid for the drive home after the last job (if you're 1.5hrs away, unlucky). You'll pretty much work every Saturday and Public Holiday due to being understaffed and overbooked. No extra development training provided. Expect stress from all angles.

Excellent culture, great incentives and would happily work there again
The good thingsThe people. Friendly and supportive colleagues and working environment. Opportunity to earn great income with incentives. Every day is a new day working on the road with different customers at different areas. Able to work alone, not having someone over your shoulder all the time. Management are very respectful of their employees.
The challengesOnly the weather sometimes but that is part of being a mobile mechanic. Not a big issue for me

Glad I worked for Lube mobile, learnt a lot. But they just don't pay well.
The good thingsGiven the opportunity to run your van as your own business. Bonus structure means the harder you work the more you get paid (even if it is minimal)
The challengesPoor pay. High staff turn over.

    Be your own boss
The good thingsHaving freedom once you do your initial training, to work the way you want to work, build customer base, not having the boss constantly looking over your shoulder, and new work area every day.
The challengesHave to work every second saturday. If you have young kids its hard to find flexibility within the company, difficult to control your work hours.

The good thingsIn the road means you get a bigger range of clients as we as fresh air and not staring at the same four walls day in day out!

If you have ethics then look elsewhere
The good thingsIt is possible to earn a decent weekly amount but it is a small percentage of what the company is receiving.
The challengesLack of support from management, no career progression and pressure to carry out your unnecessary repairs to meet targets. Very very poor company ethics

i am panning on being with this company for a long time.
The good thingsDifferent jobs everyday, meeting people, travelling around to new areas, having a vehicle supplied instead of having to drive/pay for your own, great management, great policies, systems and support in place.
The challengesDifferent vehicles challenge you in a good way every day.

Rip off merchants. You have to rob the customers of repairs even when they don't need items replaced. This is why I left the company as its a sales job which I got told it wasn't. I have no problem up selling work when it's required. They just keep saying
The good thingsNothing nothing nothing nothing
The challengesWorking outside in 40c heat

Lubemobile can be an excellent learning step for the mechanic that is looking to widen his set of skills beyond just repairing vehicles.
The good thingsOpportunity to reap good bonus profit share, learn how to run a business, meet a diverse cross section of people, how to conduct yourself as a salesman with public. Only take on jobs you are happy to perform and you choose what parts and where to buy.
The challengesWorking in the open can be a challenge, care must be taken to protect your skin from UV rays and extra clothing when cold can be a hindrance. Some times your work sight will be unsafe, so you have to convince the customer to have the vehicle moved to the work shop or a safe sight.

    on the road again
The good thingsthe management was really supportive, you are on your own for better or worse most of the time so it's good to know the team looking after you is reliable.
The challengesIf you're not good at what you do it's tough, there's no-one to fall back on to help you if you get stuck. Good experience with a wide range of vehicles is a must.

Good job but with lack of career progression, pressure to hit targets and poor wages means there's much much better light vehicle mechanics available
The good thingsWorking alone The freedom of being on the road Widely varied work sites, from the beach to the shopping mall car park Meeting new people Plenty of varied work
The challengesTraffic Acquiring parts for jobs Complex diagnostic repair work Bad weather
