Kids are great. Seems like they care more about money than their teachers though.
The good thingsSome staff very welcoming other higher ups don’t care about your mental health or wellbeing . If you can’t work they see you as replaceable and will ask you to leave or they’ll fire you.
The challengesBeing judged without consideration , empathy or understanding.

A good school if you just want to teach nice students and not progress in your career.
The good thingsThe students are on the whole respectful and attentive. Grounds are lovely. We have a barista every morning with $2 coffee available.
The challengesExecutive leadership are secretive and exclusive. Minimal support for the general teaching staff - unless you have something extra to offer you are not supported in career progression or given opportunities. Orchestrated positions for those in favour whilst others struggle to be noticed. Focus constantly changing makes it difficult to keep up. Class sizes above the state system levels and parents are paying for this. Up to 28 kids in most junior classes and now some VCE classes too. Thankfully the students are good.

    Modernising rapidly. Good prospects.
The good thingsFresh, modern approach to schooling. Strong enrolments. Starting to build research and PD direction. New staff from inner eastern schools have brought new ideas.
The challengesMost staff are very motivated, growing professionally. In it for helping the students improve academically and behaviourally. Time for some of the bitter staff to find lower standards elsewhere.

Luther College has been a great place to work so far and I look forward to spending many years here continuing to grow in my profession.
The good thingsThe staff here are wonderful, caring people who support, help and guide you when you need it.
The challengesAlthough communication at times could be improved (but you get this in most work places), there are no other challenges to report.

I expect this review will be removed like others. Interesting no review available to be read from last two years.
The good thingsColleagues and senior students wonderful to work with.
The challengesLack of cultural diversity, particularly in leadership, which impedes its management related challenges. Business decisions not always data driven or in keeping with community needs. Very high staff turnover due to low moral amongst other things. Leadership not interested in staff well being.

A warm, friendly and collaborative community that is growing innovative learning practices.
The good thingsLovely atmosphere. Kind supportive a generous people focused on the best for learners.
The challengesIn a period of growth and change, seeking more innovative teaching and learning. This has mean engagement with ideas and practices that can be challenging.

Very poor leadership and very poor working conditions for staff.
The good thingsLovely students and a lot of great staff.
The challengesLeadership and management do not listen to staff and have created very challenging and unfair work conditions. The school is very top heavy in management roles, with a focus on looking very professional to the public but disregard the welfare of the staff. No staff support or welfare management and consultation is pretty well non existent. Working under an old EBA that is yet to be reviewed. Leadership roles now being 'hand picked' under the guise of a level playing field. General staff moral is very low.

Terrible leadership not interested in welfare of staff at all.
The good thingsTeaching staff and students are both amazing
The challengesThe leadership is terrible not supportive of teaching staff and continually expanding the number of admin and senior leadership. Work life balance is non-existent for the staff delivering the curriculum. Standards of student expectations sliding continually downwards.
