I love working here, I found my passion and my people.
The good thingsLutheran Services is an organisation with kind people and strong leadership. The Christian ethos attracts people who genuinely care and want to make a real difference in people’s lives. I feel supported and valued as a person and an employee.

I enjoyed worked at Lutheran Services and have since applied for different roles. I felt homecare was not for me but gave it a go while studying. I realised that I needed to go to a place of work and not travel around all day.
The good thingsI found Lutheran Services to have a good work culture. I worked here while doing my certificate 3 individual aged care and disability support. Working in home care can be grate if you love working on your own 121 with the client and not been interrupted by other staff.
The challengesDated Procura software that the holding company of Procura won't support anymore. Missing data on clients. Rosters not updating on the app. Clients won't tell you if they arnt happy about something you have done.

My time with the Graceville Center vastly improved my professional development in this field and led me to provide the best possible support for the clients I worked with.
The good thingsThe supportive team and client centred approach. Flexibility in shifts to accomodate studies.
The challengesHad limited funding to support ongoing training opportunities. Baseline training was supplied to all staff but training beyond this was sparse.

Not a good place to work in, I would rather be unemployed than go back to a employer that was toxic to my health and did not listen or care. There were shortcuts being made. Do not recommend this workplace at all just be weary.
The good thingsThe residents and some staff
The challengesCulturally toxic to work in has a very high staff turnover, you are not respected by Head office at all. Its all about filling beds and making money. Resilience is high but not high enough to be doing what they ask of you.

My advise, look elsewhere, where you'll be appreciated and nurtured to grow.
The good thingsWonderful clients with good ole fashioned personalities
The challengesTabeel has an noninclusive culture and are afraid of change. Many have no experience outside of this workplace so ideas are archaic and unfortunately the lack of support from Lutheran Services head office, knowing this is happening is non existent.
