Good team, poor management, average salary and benefits
The good thingsI've met some lovely people working there
The challengesManagement makes everything more difficult. You're always shortstaffed, having to do the work of 2 or 3 people, if there's two customers less than expected you'll get sent home and your weekly shifts can vary a lot depending not on your work but on how close you are to management. The owner would come around quite often and it always ment someone was getting yelled at, he's the most unpleasant and miserable man I've met in my life, trying all the time to make an extra dime even cutting the salad off from the staff meals

Great for a stepping stone, minimum weekly hours for managers is ridiculous.
The good thingsPlenty of work for someone who does not care about the set hourly rate and days that are worked. Friendly.
The challengesGetting ANY information from upper management when needed in a timely manner and when it was forth coming it not clear!! The expected minimum weekly hours for permanent middle management/supervisors is NOT family friendly.

Not worth investing yourself in but do try to make the best out of it.
The good thingsWas able to make the most out of my experience here with thanks to the people I worked with. Flexible work environment at times.
The challengesFor a big company, there are no staff incentives or benefits offered with minimum wage and no penalty rates. Met the owner a few times, brief exchanges but nothing unpleasant unlike a lot of the others. The way the company runs speaks for himself though.

    Tough but worth it.
The good thingsThe individuals that I work with have become like-long friends. Working in such a fast-paced and stressful environment brought out the best it the teams I worked in at different times.
The challengesHonestly, it was being able to deal appropriately with top level management. The owner of the organisation unfortunately has a very confronting style and on more than one occasion I was the subject of or witness to some very unnecessary situations where employees were yelled at and berated.
