    There are better opportunities elsewhere...
The good thingsGood salary, good bonus.
The challengesOutdated systems that always rely on spreadsheets. Somehow, the product offering is very complex and therefore not really assisting in making people's life better. Top management is run by people who doesn't know what is going on.

More bad than good. Look elsewhere.
The good thingsThe building and office is ok. But the rest is below average. Low pay and incompetent leadership. Not a place for career progression. Little to no staff discounts or benefits. Monthly pay. Toxic work culture.
The challengesLots of micro management, but with leadership that don't have a clue what they are doing. Primitive software and systems. Still doing most things by paper and mail. Behind the times.

Great work and team, terrible work/life balance and management structure.
The good thingsInteresting work in investment consulting, with great experience to put on your resume. As long as you deliver, you are given the freedom to work at hours that suit you. Young, fun, and dynamic team with good social opportunities after work - working in glamourous Collins Place.
The challengesPunishing deadlines, as the pooled analyst team is run much too lean. Expect lots of evening and weekend work, and little sympathy from management. A sink or swim environment - management style emphasizes individual initiative (i.e. you're on your own to come up with solutions to your work problems). Managers in the consulting teams are mostly senior consultants, who are good at managing client relationships, but poor at training, mentoring and nurturing new talent. Lots of office politics; work and blame run downhill, and delegation of work reflects this. Don't expect a warm relationship with your direct manager.

Management needs some work, average experience.
The good thingsTeam environment, office space, proximity to public transport, relationships formed.
The challengesManagement often lackluster, not following up on requests for further training/development. Additional requirements outside of contracted responsibilities/agreements.

I was happy at Mercer and the role i was involved in. It can be challenging for them to retain staff long term due to salary competitiveness
The good thingsI was working as a helpline consultant for 4 years. great working hours (35 hours a week), great breaks (2x15min + 1HR lunch break). Enjoyed interacting with the staff members
The challengesSalary is good when you start, however after working a few years, the salary does not increase much therefore the salary is lower compared to other companies for the same role. Also knowledge source is not good and out of date but they are beginning to develop a better system.

The good thingsThe office location and the food court are good.
The challenges*** Toxicity at its best *** Not at all a supportive environment. Waste of time, huge staff turnover. Want to walk non-stop, this is a job for you.

Overall, the best place I have ever worked for so far.
The good thingsLove the culture and working environment. How everyone is able to interact with each other from different department. The space provided for one to work is comfortable.
The challengesNothing! Because so much is provided for your job to be easy to work with.

Disappointed and surprised given the history and size of the organisation.
The good thingsFacility is modern, fresh and central to station and eateries plus onsite gym.
The challengesA culture that is resistant towards change. There is minimal alignment between senior management communication and actions, in particular around people support, transparency and accountability. There is also an inability to affect change and actions taken on feedback or ideas are determined by a few in positions of influence.

Interesting company to work for with unique daily challenges in a dynamic environment. Great place to work if you're mates with senior managers!
The good thingsFlexible work hours (depending on department). Great location - close to home.
The challengesCareer progression depends on who you know - not what you know nor how you perform. A few unfit managers that ruin an otherwise decent company to work for.
