    I was on a short-term contract and found it a friendly work environment with a supportive manager. The team was always willing to help out. I will work at Minjar again if the opportunity presents itself

    The challengesMarvel loch site Management very poorly managed. Need to be mates with management to advance. If you don't like it leave mentality.

    The good thingsStrong support from the Board to advance resource growth and exploration, positive working environment and team, good solid people at a generally challenging site (Southern Cross) - those who work here enjoy the challenge and want to make a difference, very easy-going site with no hard restrictions like many other sites, old town country vibe throughout - the 100 year old pub being the wet mess with tap beers. World class WIFI. Great camp food. Very large rooms (no dongas) for Minjar employees. Generally just a good site and team - its the team and the vibe described here that makes this site stand out from other general/standard mine sites that you get everywhere else.
    The challengesDisconnection between production progress and finance approval chain causes major delays in advancement. A lot of red tape to tackle before money can be spent.

    The good thingsNot many, the place is so rundown it should be demolished. The maintenance and production guys are great to work with

    A challenge. Always had to fight and argue to get anything or any help. Seemed to be able to select the wrong people into a lot of positions. Dictated to by the HR department.
    The good thingsHad one good crew. The quality of the food was first rate.
    The challengesPretty much everything you had to do. Seemed to employ the wrong type of people. People stayed there because there would be no way they would be able to stick with a proper mining job.

    No training, no organization, no KPI, no QA/QC, no review and stuck there for couples of months. Absolutely waste of time. Holding an ambition to strive for the company, but no one cares. Sad, and pathetic.
    The good thingsThere’s barely nothing good to work for Minjar, probably the BIBO style which gives you more relax time when you are in and out.
    The challengesTalk with the management tier to get your dilemmas fixed. No one cares you in your team. A very “dynamic” team which means everybody is in and out, company has to get contractors to delivery jobs and can’t leave their own employees.
