Great company to work for, from trucks to allocators and management. Safety & wellbeing top priority
The good thingsGood modern trucks, allocators great to work with very easy going, never any pressure to rush. Great management team, safety and wellbeing is a top priority to this company now. Pay rates are decent.
The challengesHappy with the direction the company is going.

Supportive and understanding management from both the CFO and Financial Controller made my experience at Mondiale VGL very positive and rewarding.
The good thingsMondiale VGL is a great place to grow in finance. Supportive culture with a friendly Financial Controller and CFO. I gained valuable experience with internal teams and auditors, applied accounting standards, and got great support balancing full-time work and part-time study.
The challengesLike any workplace, there were moments of different opinions or working styles, but it was a good opportunity to learn how to navigate and collaborate in a dynamic environment.

Given the challenges described, such as management issues, unclear timelines, inadequate staffing, and a lack of support for work-life balance, it may not be advisable to recommend this company to others. These factors could impact the overall work experience and job satisfaction of potential employees.
The good thingsNot many good things to report.
The challengesChallenges in the management structure are evident, with a focus on individual appearances rather than team well-being. Ambiguity surrounds project timelines, and insufficient staffing levels are leading to excessive workload. Communication and support from management are lacking, and expectations of staff availability during personal time off create an additional burden. Recognition for after-hours efforts is minimal, and there is a notable absence of a structured career progression and development process.

    Toxic and hostile workplace culture
The good thingsnice new shiny trucks are the pride of this company. not the drivers who drive those trucks and have always been the backbone of this company.
The challengesthis company is not interested in hearing about or dealing with the concerns of its employees. high turnover of drivers and if you don't want to work 24/7 as work dictates they make your life miserable and hope you leave.

    I Came, I Saw, I Eventually Left.
The good thingsStraight out of the same mould as all the other non stop fast paced container freight mover companies but that isn't a good thing.
The challengesvery long days and no allocated breaks. You are expected to grab 5 minutes here and there between jobs if your lucky. if the work schedule doesn't go your way, there are many days with no breaks trying to juggle a steering wheel and a sandwich all at the same time.

Kindergarten company who think they're the seniors in the high school of business!
The good thingsthe early days weren't so bad
The challengesincreased work loads with not enough hours in the day. you end up spending your whole life at this place and well above what you are paid for. not diverse, not inclusive and definitely not caring. there is no career development, just mind destroying work loads. a good business has structure and rigid processes in everything that it does and with everyone who works there. visa has been winging its way through every single day for years and years.

VISA, PROBABLY THE WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD!
The good thingsSome good times but many bad
The challengesNo support from senior management. Always expected to make decisions for which you have no knowledge or training for and when it all goes wrong, you are on your own. The only part of the HR department which is a HR department is the badge on the door. Never worked at anywhere like this place and hope I never do again.

    Disgusting company
The good thingsAbility to learn about a few different areas of company. Good employees - drivers will leave a company if they don’t receive recognition for their contribution, and feel unappreciated. No one wants to continue to work hard and bring value to a company if their efforts are ignored. A thank you from management goes a long way.
The challengesStressful sometimes and no appreciation from upper management. It is much harder for the employer to say 'oh we didn't know, there was nothing we could do' if there is clear evidence that it was told about what was going on and failed to take action. The management is more likely to have breached its duty of care if it was well aware what was going on. Good Employees Quit - unhealthy work environment, lack of support, lack of respect, poor management.

I would still be working there had I not moved too far away. I miss that job every single day.
The good thingsI worked with a fantastic team of drivers, plus management was very good- systems were very easy to use. Workload was manageable- I never felt like I was harried or overloaded to get my job done.
The challengesLong hours available- but that was welcome. Minimal weekend work available for rigid drivers.

Enjoyed my time here but you will hit a learning and development ceiling after a few years.
The good thingsGrowing company, plenty of opportunity to take on and learn from different projects.
The challengesManagement are very old school in their thinking when it comes to managing it's people and formalising systems and processes to support company growth. They don't invest in training or engaging their people. Dollar picking for everything. Thinks and acts like a small company instead of thinking and acting like a big company that it is. Operates very lean, not enough resourcing and support. High staff churn.

From the Coal Face to HR.
The good thingsAfter many years at the coal face I was the big chunky Coal Man who switched roles to try my hand at HR. Its been a rewarding role and although all this sitting down in the office hasn't been good for my waistline, a big thanks as always to the guys in the workshop for throwing a couple of heavy duty truck springs under my chair to avert a looming disaster. Didn't realise they'd also be putting an oversize sign on the back. But jokes aside, this place is the best.
The challengesHaving to leave every evening to go home. If they stuck a bed in the office I think I might just move in permanently.

Just perfect until I'm confronted with one of those knuckle dragging drivers!
The good thingsDespite not having any formal qualifications in this kind of role and no people management skills, this company has allowed me to flourish all the way to the top. We all might muddle our way through from time to time and hope for the best, but I believe that its better to have tried and failed than to have never given it a shot.
The challengesDealing with people who fail to see things my way.

The challengesNo work life balance, management not supportive at all. Very biased environment where if you know someone higher up then you can go places if not you’re stuck in a rut. No career progression and no care factor for their employees. HR is a joke too .

The challengesDysfunctional Company to work for, very two faced. Promised the world and never delivered. Doesn't believe in Customer Service. Managers Could never understand why you would go out of your way to help a customer when they are already on board.

The good thingsLike a flourishing tree Visa continues to grow at a rapid pace for those who can keep up.

Forward thinking and never held back
The good thingsWith the most up to date state of the art equipment, Visa are the only company in the southern hemisphere with special permits on vehicle weight limits .Their new Super B Double Sets are almost limitless as to what can be loaded due to the special engineering design plan which are the first in the world to float on a tiny bed of air just above the surface of the road. This is a real credit to the management team at Visa for their forward thinking vision and refusal to be held back by the old rules of the past.
The challengesThe challenges are around us every day. Its how we overcome them that is the real test and at Visa there is always a solution to every problem.

You can do much better than Visa Global Logistics
The good thingsModern Vehicles but can't think of much else that's good about working here.
The challengesVisa have a whole load of different pay rates for drivers with exactly the same licence depending on what deal you can manage to strike with management. If you threaten to leave, they will usually offer a better pay rate and sometimes more than others are getting with better qualifications. Whilst this unprofessional and unfair approach might sort an individual problem out in the short term, all it actually does is to unsettle the rest of the work force when word gets round about the different pay rates for selected employees. Maybe they will eventually learn to treat all employees equally and pay them based on a set scale of pay rather than having secret individual deals.
