    Enjoyed some of my time but wouldnt return.
    The good thingsGreat relationship between general staff.
    The challengesManagers weren't all on the same team; one particular duty manager (I believe shes mentioned in previous reviews and is still there) really made life difficult for staff members that she didnt like. Some staff would get away with anything, others would be pulled up for breathing wrong. Kitchen management are stuck in the past with the belief everybody should fear them.

    Kitchen team is broken
    The good thingsFront of house were all super friendly people and very enjoyable to work with
    The challengesKitchen looses staff faster than it can hire them, really weak management and organisation. Heaps of visa chefs that are highly qualified on paper but totally under qualified when it comes to doing the actual job, they are used unfairly and treated poorly in their defence. It all comes back to a toxic boss culture sadly, beautiful venue, wrong people in upper positions.

    Enjoyed it while I was there.
    The good thingsGreat staff and very social and nice place to work.
    The challengesThe management is terrible they treat their staff like rubbish and you get no benefits. Most Toxic place I have ever been its so sad. It's managers vs staff at this workplace its so bad.

    Good chance you’ll get sacked right before your “probationary period” ends.
    The good thingsGood atmosphere, Beautiful location. Friendly staff.
    The challengesThe management team could not get any worse. The General manager is a business man who knows lots about how to make money, but knows nothing about how to treat his staff. This might be the most toxic place I’ve ever worked. Very sad that a venue can get away with operating like this.

    Mhours are there if you don’t get sent home early. You make the bestest friends ever!
    The good thingsThe friends I made and the hours that were given. 3 out of 4 Duty Managers were amazing!
    The challengesThe constant turnover of staff was quite literally insane. The constant nagging and feeling incompetent of my job by one certain manager who made me feel like a child. I’m not sure why nothing has been done about the certain manager as clearly it’s been a huge problem for many years. No benefits, discounts, coffee or anything!

    Good money with a nice view if you’re willing to work long hours and can manage to be on one particular manager’s good side.
    The good thingsHigh number of hours, location, one duty manager out of three at the time was fantastic, diversity of staff at the time.
    The challengesLong hours, which were welcomed. But, one duty manager was horrendous. She was genuinely a reason that many staff ended up quitting. Her management style hinged on patrolling the premises, “checking” on the adults employed there as though they were children. Although I managed to stay on her good side, the way she often treated other staff was appalling. She even implicitly threatened a staff member that their hours would be cut when they expressed that they were feeling very ill at work and needed to leave. She was forced to apologise upon sighting a medical certificate from the hospital. She was very curt and contributed to a tense work environment.

    Staff are treated like trash. Good pay does not balance out the low hours given. Hire too many staff to lower hours given!
    The good thingsgreat friends made there, hourly pay is good
    The challengesundervalued and over worked, no staff discount on any food or drinks, felt under appreciated working hard long hours with no “great work guys” always negative feedback.

    I enjoyed working here until I moved to Brisbane for uni. I would go back in a flash. Good fun team, managers helpful and plenty of hours
    The good thingsFlexible hours, good communication in training and opportunities to learn lots of different areas. I started off waiting tables but got taught bar & gaming plus table service which was great.
    The challengesParking was a problem until the parking validation came in

    The good thingsgood team when they know how to keep to there own allocated jobs
    The challengesthe team doesn't know how to stick to there own jobs everyone like to do everything but clean tables, the outside is the worse when it come to having to clear table and glasses, the management is so out of place some of the manager don't even know what they are doing most times

    Great place to work if there was higher management changes.
    The good thingsThe management team had some good strong workers over my many years there although could never keep them due to the people above them. Good amount of hours and other staff members.
    The challengesHigher up needs a change. Can guarantee a high staff turnover equaling close to 15-40 staff every 6 months. So the constant changes are difficult especially with the lack of communication and constant overhead pressure from office dwellers that watch over the cameras so much we call it “big brother”.

    The challengesParking sucks! You'll have a bit of a search for a spot on the weekend!

    Need better management. it's falling apart.
    The good thingsActually met some great people between some of the staff and regulars who work and go there. Beautiful location.
    The challengesHigher management who like to set new rules that don't make sense to make everything a challenge for us as staff to do our jobs efficiently. Never feeling valued as a employee who tries their best do the work provided and cover extra work for those who are in need. Feeling singled out and put down from other staff members and management since day one, which seen a small improvement happening through my time there although with everything ending in a bad result. Worst working environment I have ever have worked in. Near to none of the staff/management seem to be happy with how the venue is being run, which is a shame because of how it has so much potential, and considering how vibrant the place use to be a few years ago when I use to always go to The Mooloolaba Surf club during my holidays down the Sunshine coast before I moved to the location. It's sad because I thought it would have been an amazing place to work but I've never felt so unappreciated again and again in my life. No benefits to working at this venue at all. Constant and rational shift changes on roster. (have had shifts changed on the day of the shift without compromising or a simple courtesy message.) Which can result in missing start times or rocking up for a shift you are not on anymore. It's not right.

    The challengesManagement has no idea how to run a proper business, treats all staff as a number. If you want to feel valued and work under people who understand communication with their staff don't work here.
