A collaborative workplace with good learning opportunities and room to grow.
The good thingsMYOB provides a supportive and collaborative work environment with a strong focus on teamwork and quality delivery. I’ve enjoyed working with knowledgeable colleagues, learning new tools and processes, and being part of a culture that values continuous improvement. The company encourages open communication, ownership of work, and offers flexibility that helps maintain a healthy work–life balance.
The challengesLike any growing organization, there are areas that could be improved, such as clearer alignment across teams and more consistency in processes during periods of change. At times, priorities can shift quickly, which can be challenging, but this also presents opportunities to adapt and learn.

waste of time, management only support their "friends" you are not valued for your skill base.
The good thingswhen they remembered I worked there !
The challengesManagement do not take accountability - everyone looking after themselves and you only get supported if you a personal friend of management - I have never seen so much nepotism in a business.

Horrible, outdated company trying to play catch up with it's competitors who already have matured cloud SaaS products. Indecisive leadership who do not know what they are doing and thus unfit to steer the company in the right direction. Treats employees like numbers and nothing more.
The good thingsGood colleagues. That's about it.
The challengesBad management who do not know what they are doing. Too many rounds of "restructuring" due to management's own incompetence and lack of clear direction with the product.

Overall, it's a great company to work for, I think that the salty people in the reviews either - wanted everything handed to them or maybe they just couldn't take accountability for their own level of engagement.
The good thingsMyob is a fantastic company to work for if you have the will and the drive to succeed. All you need to do is show initiative, be proactive and do what's expected of you, even better if you go above any beyond (if that's what you want to do) as you'll achieve the career progression, you're after.
The challengesClutching at straws here but having to pay for parking is a pain. The restructures since KKR purchased the company, have been stressful for all as they seem to be a yearly occurrence. Culture is heavily focused on LGBTQI+ and it feels like everyone else isn't celebrated.

Just stay away from this place - management is garbage
The good thingsGood people on the team apart from a few liars and backstabbers. Salary was slightly above average.
The challengesManagement were less than accommodating. Expected to know everything almost immediately. Company doesn't practice the motto's that they preach and claim to uphold. People stab each other in the back - toxic environment

Only apply if you can handle burnout
The good thingsThe few good people that were left behind were very supportive and trying to stand in the gap, and to try keep already unhappy clients.
The challengesHigh employee churn rate, many people laid off due to having multiple restructures. Only worried about their shareholders, not investing in product. Poor leadership that doesn't understand Accounting practice.Couldn't get their act together in forming their cloud strategy, going down the wrong track

    Refreshing culture and great flexibility!
The good things- Company culture . Since joining, I've found the office culture so refreshing and is a genuinely happy and supportive environment! - Transparency in business decisions and why they're made - Quarterly OKR tracking (both individually and company wide) - Career opportunities / internal mobility - Long list of benefits - Flexibility and hybrid ways of working.
The challengesThere are many different platforms and systems used within the business

    Wouldn't work here again.
The good things- The team were supportive of one another - Some interesting technology stacks
The challenges- Worst management I've ever encountered - Lack of direction and understanding of real problems faced by the environment - Significant technical debt that was never addressed - Thrusted down a direction I was not comfortable with - Far too much change to be sustainable

Great place to work with smart people where I can bring my passion and experience to life.
The good thingsInteresting and complex work unique to a company building a business management platform.
The challengesWe're doing something new and there is a lot to learn on the go, this can be a challenge at times but if you enjoy this environment you'll see the positives.

Was a great place to work but going downhill due to management.
The good thingsVery flexible work, able to work from home and work around my schedule. My team is great and I have great colleagues.
The challengesUpper management only care about profits and not people. It's all about billing , and everything is a secret and kept quiet. We are not told of changes that effect our roles to the last minute. It's also very bureaucratic , top heavy and is difficult to progress. Wages are also lower compared to competitors.

Best job that I've ever had!
The good thingsMYOB has been a fantastic company to work for. I started here in January and have been extremely impressed from day 1 in so many ways: Very kind team with a strong emphasis on a positive culture, plenty of support from management in relation to not only work matters but personal ones too, constant evaluation is a big focus with plenty of time spent growing into our roles/future aspirations and an unreal work life balance. I can confidently say that MYOB is the best company that I have worked for by far and I plan to stay here for many years to come!
The challengesEvery role has it's challenges and this one is no exception but there is plenty of support around and you get the feeling of 'working through them together' rather than being left in the dark like in other jobs. Nothing in particular to report here!

Love every moment of it, the good and the challenges.
The good thingsCulture, hands down is the best thing about MYOB. The people are great to work with and it's an extremely encouraging and collaborative team. There are an abundance of opportunities available.
The challengesBeing in a growth phase comes with growing pains and systems/process alignment is top of that list. Nothing that's anywhere near a deal breaker however.

Jobseekers - keep looking....nothing to see here....do not fall for their PR/Marketing spin.
The good thingsThis question would stump Einstein, Newton & Tesla.....maybe the Exit door?
The challengesManagement ineptness, childish culture, no training or tools to actually do your job....but plenty of diversity/inclusion training. A bureaucracy that is the envy of the Victorian Public Service.

A company in transition is losing a lot of well-experienced people along the way
The good thingsGreat well-experienced people that know both the industry and solutions and are genuinely there to help their customers.
The challengesNew senior management is notably dis-engaged and primarily focussed on their Private Equity owners more than their staff. A result is a notable number of these well-experienced people leaving during the last 12 months.

MYOB was a great place to work, but not anymore.
The good thingsThings have certainly changed at MYOB since being acquired by KKR and wonderful CEO Tim Reid moved on. MYOB was a great place to work, awesome people and leadership. The vast majority of the great leaders have since left, and replaced with disorganised, inauthentic, profit first, people second approach
The challengesNew leadership across the business have ruined the great culture that once existed. Sad. Good people are still leaving at an alarming rate.

Live and breath the customer first and
The good things- Very collaborative, focus on people and culture that feels meaningful. - Transparent, open and honest at all levels of the company, feels like my voice is heard and valued. - Clear strategy and direction and feels we are pushing in the same direction; customer first lens everywhere
The challengesSome legacy, but something I've felt in most larger and established organisations.

Love the opportunity to be in a growth business that is really looking to do things differently.
The good thingsPeople are great to work with. Opportunity to really make a difference. Lots of change is exciting.
The challengesSome groups whinge a lot, can bring down the vibe, if you don't want to be there leave, then the rest of us can enjoy it more.

Loved my time at MYOB, genuinely good people and very supportive culture!
The good thingsReally good culture. People at the company are passionate and you can see everyone truly enjoys being there.
The challengesSalary is quite low compared to the market. Besides that, I can't find any criticism. Supportive, encouraging managers and a diverse workforce.

Be nice to everyone you meet, or else...
The good thingsGenerally your coworkers are good.
The challengesThere are people who will step on you to better their career chances. Management is atrocious. Promotions go to people who are liked rather than who works the hardest. Pay is pathetic, but the company is proud that they are paying less than the industry average.

Good short term stop but you'll get bored eventually.
The good thingsWork life balance is highly promoted. Free coffee, fruit basket, discounts at JB Hifi. T-shirt and jeans kind of company.
The challengesManagement changes strategy/vision/roadmaps on a whim. Tech stack is not the newest (depends on team you're in). Career opportunities seem stagnant. Pay is not the best.

Great company to work for. However to progress you have to know the right people in the management. People considered outsiders are not given the chance to progress
